The Twilight Saga Eclipse
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is leading this year's Golden Raspberry Awards after scoring nine nominations for the upcoming ceremony, which names and shames the worst movies.

The popular vampire sequel is on the shortlist for Worst Picture, while Kristen Stewart is up for the Worst Actress trophy and the film's lead male stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to battle it out for Worst Actor.

Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper in the blood-sucking series, picked up two nominations for Worst Supporting Actor - one for his role in the latest Twilight project and another for his p...

Sandra Bullock Is Sexy On The Cover Of The New EW

September 4th, 2010 4:00pm EDT
Sandra Bullock EW
Sandra Bullock wasn't buying the hype. Speaking to EW last fall, weeks before the opening of a little heart-warmer of a movie called The Blind Side, the actress - who had reemerged earlier that year from a two-year hiatus with her biggest hit ever, the romantic comedy The Proposal - predicted that her newly reinvigorated career would soon cool down again. She brushed off The Proposal's success as a cosmic fluke: "I don't pump my fist in the air. I don't want anything karmically crashing down on me." She dismissed the idea that she might score an Oscar nomination for The Blind Side: "The stu...

Sandra Bullock Returning Her Razzie

April 22nd, 2010 8:47am EDT
Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock has graciously agreed to return her Golden Raspberry award after accidentally collecting the original "priceless" trophy instead of a cheap replica made for the winners. The 45 year old was handed the Worst Actress Razzie last month for her role in All About Steve.

However, last week the ceremony's co-founder John Wilson revealed the star was handed the original trophy, which is worth thousands of dollars, instead of a replica version intended for her.

He urged Bullock to give back the prize - and she's graciously agreed to his request.

Her publicist Cheryl Maisel tells...

Sandra Bullock Accepts Her Victory & Failure With An Oscar & A Razzie

March 8th, 2010 1:55pm EST
Sandra Bullock accepts the Oscar
It’s official - Sandra Bullock is just cool, really cool might we add. She’s is a bonafide Hollywood star with a legitimately successful career (*cough, ahem Paris Hilton) punctuated last night with her Oscar win for Best Actress in “The Blind Side”.

Last night, Sandra recast herself as a critically acclaimed thespian capable of outshining the mighty Meryl Streep as well as Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe. Factor in a Razzie acceptance speech and we’ve got someone worthy of the world “cool”.

Sandra entered into a selective group of actors this year for being nominated f...

Sandra Bullock was shamed as Worst Actress at the 2010 Golden Raspberry Awards on Saturday - just a day before she's tipped to pick up an Oscar.

Bullock picked up the spoof movie trophy for her part in All About Steve, which she also co-produced, even though she is one of the favorites to win an Academy Award at Sunday night's Oscars ceremony for her role in The Blind Side.

The Miss Congeniality actress received a standing ovation as she took the stage to pick up her Razzie - the first Worst Actress recipient to attend the show since Halle Berry was shamed for her role in Catwoman in 20...

Razzie Awards Preview: Nominees Include Sandra Bullock, Megan Fox & More

Razzie Awards Preview
For the past 30 years on the evening before the Hollywood revels in its own glory at the Academy Awards, the Golden Raspberry Awards do the best they can to gleefully throw sand in the industry's face. The Golden Raspberry Awards (or Razzies) are a kind of Anti-Oscar, dolling out cheap plastic statuettes to the worst movies that Hollywood plops onto the guileless public every year.

Heading up this year’s awards with 7 nominations each are the ultra-big budget sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” and the comparably expensive box office sink pit “Land of the Lost.” “Transformers” wa...

25 Worst Movies Of 2009

November 27th, 2009 9:46am EST
The Body
Wow, there were some bad movies, like really bad, in 2009 but since we are optimists we like to think the good outnumbered the bad. We already discussed the good movies, and now we will feature the bad and ugly of 2009. Sometimes bad movies are entertaining enough to keep our attention for a few hours but sometimes the movies are so bad we induce vomiting to make us feel better.

Couples Retreat (25) had the cast and the budget to be a funny flick and it came out in the fourth quarter of 2009 when the best movies already came out. This movie was bad, not funny, and it might have marked th...

The summer movie season is finally at its end. Yesterday we listed Part 1 of the first annual "Summer Movie Awards" in categories such as: surprise hit, the bomb nobody noticed, indie hit, and most disappointing. Check out more films that deserve to be recognized for their summer performances:

The Death by Twitter Award

Winner: "Bruno"

This movie made more than 20 percent of its gross in the first night. After that evening, the Twiterrati hit their little squawk box to spread the word that there was far too much spreading of limbs in this bit of borderline pornography. The resul...

Summer Movie Awards Part 1: Surprise Hit, Biggest Bombs & More

September 9th, 2009 9:53am EDT
G.I. Joe
Now that Labor Day has come and gone, the official end to summer has now passed. Yes, the days will now be shorter, the weather cooler (unless you're smart enough to live in Southern California like this column's scribe), and for some school resuming its session, but there's also a lot of good news.

TV is back, football is back, and summer movie season is finally at its end. Yes, no more summer movies, no more endless weekends filled with event films that shatter theater speakers and routinely melt screens with too much rambunctious action. It's a thankful end to a season that routine...

2009 Fall Movie Previews
With summer coming to an end, there's one major thing to consider: what's going to be entertaining for the next three months? We assume you're thinking the same thing (great minds being alike and all), so here's the rundown of what Hollywood has coming:

Gamer (09/04/09)

Director: Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor

Starring: Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall

Gamer will be one of the coolest movies of the season because it actually manages to bring a fairly new concept to the action genre. In the near future, with mind control technology pretty much commonplace, billionaire Ken Castle (Michael...

M.C. Gainey Chats About Sandra Bullock, A Satisfying 'Lost' Ending & Being Naked

September 2nd, 2009 9:47am EDT
M.C. Gainey
M.C. Gainey has made a career out of being the tough guy that you don't want to mess with. His voice is unmistakable, and his face tends to scream danger. You may know him for playing Tom (Mr. Friendly) on Lost or as the crazed naked man who chased after Paul Giamatti's character Miles in Sideways.

We recently sat down with M.C. and talked about his roles in the new film All About Steve, Lost, Sideways and his upcoming series Happy Town - due out mid-season on ABC.

Eric Stromsvold: I'd like to talk to you about the new film "All About Steve." I heard that you're playing a trucker...

Sandra Bullock Relates To Her Character In 'All About Steve'

September 2nd, 2009 9:42am EDT
Sandra Bullock
This week's comedy All About Steve casts Sandra Bullock as quirky crossword puzzle writer Mary Horowitz. Her wealth of knowledge over intellectual minutiae makes her a social outcast, which is why Steve backs off from her aggressive sexual passes. Bullock said she could relate to the quirky brain Horowitz.

"My head is filled with so much crap, or facts that I find important, but that some others don't," Bullock said. "All the knowledge that I have doesn't necessarily make me brilliant, but I love acquiring knowledge and then sharing it with everybody else. I love trivia. I love the knowl...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Gamer,' 'Extract' & More

Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" is my recommendation for the must-see movie of the summer. Anyone who has an appreciation for Tarantino's films will love this WWII epic.

Divided into chapters like his other directorial work, this story follows a much more linear path than earlier movies, but it still reflects his unique style and flair. Musically "Inglourious Basterds" feels like one part spaghetti western, one part 80s rock ballad, elevating the intensity of emotions and violence in a number of scenes.

As Lt. Aldo Raine, Brad Pitt is a crude, ruthless, brutally honest ...

Spotlight On Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper has been acting for an entire decade but he's just starting to get his well-deserved fame. It seems you can't open a tabloid without coming across his name and who he is allegedly linked to. Although he claims to be just friends with Jennifer Aniston, pictures of their "date" were plastered all over the magazine covers and they are still a hot topic in celebrity gossip. Did he blow her over, is she just not that into him, do we really care?

Born in Philadelphia, Bradley was Georgetown educated before studying at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University in N...

Comedian, Actor and Real Life Doctor Ken Jeong Enjoying Hollywood Success

Dr. Ken Jeong
Honesty's the best policy. That goes for anyone, whether you're a doctor, comedian, actor, or, in the case of Dr. Ken Jeong , all three. Surprisingly, all three careers have much in common: you've got to be quick on your feet, they require long, grueling hours, and sometimes the best approach is the untraditional one. Dr. Ken has committed to honesty and it's taken him a long way, from the shy teen growing up in North Carolina, to working with Judd Apatow and prancing around in a silver jumpsuit, providing backup vocals in viral videos.

When were you first exposed to comedy?

Must Avoid Movies of 2009

My Bloody Valentine 3-D
2009 is upon us, bringing with it all the hope that new year's usually bring. Usually, this hope is for health, happiness, and prosperity, and that is exactly how it should be. This year, however, I have an additional hope - or I should say, I had an additional hope - that Hollywood wouldn't soil our planet with films that make me wish my eyes had been burned out in some kind of electrical accident. Alas, ever the Cubs fan, I must wait for next year. Until then, I take solace in the fact that I may save you the pain of sitting through these movies.
