The original Die Hard has given it's upcoming third sequel a boost by topping a new poll of the Greatest Action Movies Ever Made. The 1988 blockbuster, which cemented Bruce Willis as a Hollywood action man, beat fellow '80s movies Aliens and Raiders of The Lost Ark to claim the top spot in the Entertainment Weekly magazine countdown.

Sci-fi epic Star Wars is Britain's most-watched movie with half of respondents watching it more than 20 times, according to a survey. The George Lucas franchise hit the hotspot for male viewers; while Patrick Swayze's Dirty Dancing came a close second thanks for the female voters of the survey by British satellite channel Sky Movies.

Director James Cameron has cast Sigourney Weaver in new movie "Avatar," his first fictional film since 1997's Oscar-winning blockbuster Titanic. The 57-year-old actress, who previously starred in Cameron's 1986 sequel Aliens, will play a space explorer in the sci-fi epic.

SEGA of America Inc., SEGA Europe Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising today announced a worldwide exclusive agreement to bring game content based on the critically-acclaimed Alien film franchise to next-generation gaming systems. Multiple titles, including a first-person shooter and a role playing game, are currently in pre-production with the first to be released in 2009.

James Cameron has joined forces with the world's largest casino operator in a bid to create a high-tech theme park at a new casino and mega-resort in Singapore. The director is executive producer of the project, along with Harrah's Entertainment Inc., to create a high-tech venture called "iPort." Cameron will contribute rights and oversight to develop interactive rides based on his hit movies.
