Keith Urban To Donate 'For You' Royalties To The U.S. Navy

Country star Keith Urban is donating all proceeds from his Act Of Valor track For You to the United States Navy to provide aid for members of the armed forces.

The Somebody Like You hit-maker wrote the track for the military-themed action movie, which tells the story of real-life Navy SEAL operations, and he performed the tune for the first time at the 2012 Academy of County Music Awards earlier this month.

'The Lorax' Beats 'John Carter' At Weekend Box Office

Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" has climbed its way to the top of the box office after raking in $39.1 million at the weekend.

The animated family film, voiced by the likes of Taylor Swift and Zac Efron, stole the number one spot from adventure movie John Carter, which debuted at second place with earnings of $30.6 million.

Comedy Project X dropped to third with takings of $11.6 million, while Elizabeth Olsen's thriller Silent House entered the countdown in fourth place ($7 million) and action film Act of Valor ($7 million) rounded out the top five.

The big screen adaptation of the beloved children's book, featuring the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms and Danny DeVito, now holds the biggest debut of the year so far, beating the $41.2 million romantic drama The Vow garnered last month.

An action film featuring real Navy Seals has topped the box office in America.

"Act of Valor" has debuted at number one with an opening weekend take of $24.7 million.

"Tyler Perry's Good Deeds" opened in second place with an estimated $16 million, while Jennifer Aniston's much-hyped comedy "Wanderlust" and Amanda Seyfried's thriller "Gone" flopped at U.S. cinemas with $6.6 million and $5 million openings respectively.

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
Leading into the Academy Awards this upcoming Sunday, I’m trying to catch up on all the Best Picture nominees which I missed in 2011. Last night I watched the Alexander Payne drama “The Descendants” starring George Clooney, which I liked immensely. I found its Best Picture and Best Actor nods much deserved, though I felt it was a bit too heavy on the narration and the Hawaiian music for my taste. My Grade: A-
