Based on a true story, The Express follows the extraordinary life of college football hero Ernie Davis (Rob Brown), the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy. His fight for equality and respect forever changed the face of American sports, and his story continues to inspire new generations.

Raised in poverty in Pennsylvania coal-mining country, Davis hurdled social and economic obstacles to become one of the greatest running backs in college football history. Under the guidance of legendary Syracuse coach Ben Schwartzwalder (Dennis Quaid), he became a hero who superseded Jim BrownÂ’s achievements and set records that stand to this day.

Decorated veteran Schwartzwalder was a Southerner with a single vision of a national championship and hardened ideas about how the world worked. But though he and Davis clashed mightily, he taught the player everything he knew about football, just as Davis helped him learn the true meaning of victory.

As the growing civil rights movement divided the country in the ’60s, Davis became a symbol for achievement that transcended race. Refusing to flinch from others’ prejudices, he achieved all his goals—until he faced a challenge that would make most men crumble. He joined the ranks of black pioneers by teaching a generation tolerance, inspiring a movement that smashed barriers on and off the field.

How to Enter No purchase necessary. To enter, submit all required information on the entry form. All entries must include the entrant's name, age, a valid email address and shipping address (no P.O. Boxes) for any potential prize shipments. The first and last name provided by online entrants will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for a prize, the identity of the winner. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries that we believe in good faith has been generated by a so-called spam or automated e-mail program or via scripts and automated submission. By participating, all entrants agree to abide by these rules. Prizes Prizes are specified on the entry page. Entries and prizes are nontransferable. No substitutions are permitted, except that sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value for the grand prize. Winners shall be responsible and liable for any federal, state, and local taxes on the value of their prize. Selection A random drawing will take place within 10 days of the end of the sweepstakes. The number of eligible entrants will determine odds of winning. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting the entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. The decisions of Starpulse.com are final and binding in all matters relating to this sweepstakes. Winner will be notified by email and/or telephone, as determined by Starpulse.com or its affiliated contest host. If a winner is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be also be selected from the pool of eligible entries. There is a limit of one entry per person per day.
