The innovative Jean-Luc Godard has captivated audiences and critics alike with his stimulating and visually brilliant films. The French maverick made his mark on New Wave Cinema by breaking all the rules. Nearly a half a century later, Godard continues to create some of the most acclaimed work of his illustrious career.

On May 13, KORCH Lorber Films proudly releases two revolutionary classics from the cinematic legend: "La Chinoise" (1967) and "Le Gai Savoir" (1969), both digitally restored, re-mastered and presented in French with English subtitles.

Le Gai Savoir:
While alone in an abandoned television studio, two militants, Emile Rousseau (Jean-Pierre Léaud) and Patricia Lumumba (Juliet Berto), have a discourse on language. Referring to spoken word as "the enemy" – the weapon used by the establishment to confuse liberation movements – the two deconstruct the meanings of sounds and images in an attempt to ‘return to zero’ and truly experience the joy of learning.

La Chinoise:
Paris, 1967. Disillusioned by their suburban lifestyles, a group of middle-class students, led by Guillaume (Jean-Pierre Léaud) and Veronique (Anne Wiazemsky), form a small Maoist cell and plan to change the world by any means necessary. After studying the growth of communism in China, the students decide that they must use terrorism and violence to ignite their own revolution.

How to Enter No purchase necessary. To enter, submit all required information on the entry form. All entries must include the entrant's name, age, a valid email address and shipping address (no P.O. Boxes) for any potential prize shipments. The first and last name provided by online entrants will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for a prize, the identity of the winner. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries that we believe in good faith has been generated by a so-called spam or automated e-mail program or via scripts and automated submission. By participating, all entrants agree to abide by these rules. Prizes Prizes are specified on the entry page. Entries and prizes are nontransferable. No substitutions are permitted, except that sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value for the grand prize. Winners shall be responsible and liable for any federal, state, and local taxes on the value of their prize. Selection A random drawing will take place within 10 days of the end of the sweepstakes. The number of eligible entrants will determine odds of winning. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting the entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. The decisions of Starpulse.com are final and binding in all matters relating to this sweepstakes. Winner will be notified by email and/or telephone, as determined by Starpulse.com or its affiliated contest host. If a winner is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be also be selected from the pool of eligible entries. There is a limit of one entry per person per day.
