After earning a degree in Economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, Demmings set out to become an actor. He landed his very first role as a morgue worker in the 1992 crime drama "Equinox" and followed that up by appearing in 1993's blockbuster thriller, "The Fugitive." By the mid-'90s Demmings was making a decent living playing cops on TV and in the movies, having appeared as uniformed patrolmen on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (ABC, 1993-97) and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" (TeenNick/ABC Family/The WB/ABC, 1996-2003), as well as in "Progeny" and "Very Bad Things," both of which were released in 1998.
