Alicia Silverstone and controversial sports star Michael Vick have spoken out to condemn a video game which allows users to train and fight virtual dogs.

The animal-loving actress was horrified to learn about Dog Wars, a mobile phone application featuring fighting dogs, designed to run on Google's Android software. Now, the pregnant star has teamed up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to urge Google bosses to shut the game down.

Oprah Winfrey has landed another troubled star to replace disgraced American footballer Michael Vick - the chat show titan will be the first to interview David Arquette on TV following his stint in rehab.

The media mogul made a bet with CNN newsman Piers Morgan over who would land the first in-depth interview with the sportsman, who was jailed in 2007 for his part in a dog fighting ring.

Disgraced football star Michael Vick has scrapped his appearance on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" for personal reasons.

Winfrey had to withdraw her bet with CNN newsman Piers Morgan over who would land the first in-depth interview with the sportsman, who was jailed in 2007 for his part in a dog fighting ring, in order to land the big get - but now Vick has backed out of the TV chat, which was scheduled to air next week.
