Soccer player and former "Dancing With The Stars" contestant Hope Solo's husband was jailed on Wednesday for a suspected parole violation relating to a recent domestic violence arrest.

Tampa police arrested former football player Jerramy Stevens, and he is being held without bond at Hillsborough County Jail.

Earlier this month, Stevens got in trouble in Seattle, Washington, on the eve of his and Solo's secret wedding. He was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault after cops saw signs of a fight and blood on his shirt when they investigated a disturbance at a private party.

Next week is the much anticipated finals of this season of ‘DWTS,' so of course last night was the much anticipated elimination to decide who was going to be in the final three. I was concerned for J.R. before I looked at the scores last night, but seeing that he actually fell eleven points behind the leader and nine points behind second place worried me more. It’s the semi-finals, and the show is not going easy on our stars now. Everyone always talks about how much it’s gotta hurt to be kicked off a show like ‘Dancing’ first, but I always think getting kicked off just before the end has got to hurt just as much. After eight weeks, last night’s results episode gave someone the boot right before the semi-finals.

This season of ‘Dancing’ seems like it’s just flying by. It’s already week eight, and last night was the last competition show before the semi-finals. It was also the week to bring back the instant dances, and to award the first perfect scores of the season. If there was ever a time to get a second wind, it’s now, and Hope jumped at the chance to revitalize her game this week when Maks decided to (gasp!) act like an adult for the first time in weeks.

As a result of that, I may have thought last week that I knew who I wanted to win, but now I’m back to only knowing who I want to go home ...

I feel sorry for parents with teenage daughters who watch this show, because last night the Biebs was in the house. And they hyped it up like crazy, as he was really the only “star power” they had last night. The stars who are dancing are old news by now, especially on a night that they’re, you know, not actually dancing..

This week ‘Dancing’ was “dead from Hollywood,” which was just the first in a string of goofy Halloween jokes sprinkled throughout the episode. It was also plagued by some truly retro-looking “spooky” CGI, because Halloween just isn’t campy enough for this show. And of course all the dances were Halloween-themed, some more successfully than others. Being a Halloween lover, and a lover of cloak-and-dagger theatrics, I loved the extra ridiculousness. Most of the time.

It’s Broadway Week at ‘Dancing With The Stars’, so of course the show was packed with drama. Not that it isn’t always, but this week we got more, including an extra group dance with all the stars together, a hysterical John Travolta impression from David, Monty Python music, a comeback for Ricki, and Maks opening his big fat mouth to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Last night ‘Dancing With The Stars’ brought back side ponytails, leg warmers, and music that either inspired nostalgia or mild embarrassment. Or both. Yep, it was 80s night, and while I was young in the 80s, it’s a decade that was hard to forget for anyone who lived through it. Honestly, I’m pretty sure everyone in the fashion and entertainment industries went insane for about ten years. Pants with stirrups? Check. Movies where mannequins came to life? Check. And I’m pretty sure I had an enormous sweater covered in graffiti of every color that was totally radical, dude.

Last Tuesday I was so sure that Chaz was going to go home... and then he didn’t. A much better dancer did. It made me worried for Carson going into last night’s elimination. Then again, Chynna fell from a second place standing to being tied for second to last place with Nancy and Chaz. That is not a good place to be at all.

In a week, we lost another dancer, Brooke got a new last name (congrats, Mrs. Charvet!), and all the stars started freaking out. Yep, week four is about that time for the pressure to kick in, especially after the last elimination. The voters at home decided last week that sometimes dancing ability won’t save you.

It was a mostly lackluster Monday night on "Dancing With The Stars," but that’s bound to happen when you throw a bunch of almost-celebrities together in a position totally out of their comfort zones. Some weeks it just works a lot like herding cats.

Who gets the boot first on DWTS? That’s the question on the minds of viewers, dancers, and stars alike going into the first elimination of the season. Well, any elimination, really, but the first one is always the worst. It’s the one where the excitement of the new season gives way to the “oh yeah, there’s a sucky part of this too.”

Tuning in to the first night of any season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ feels a little like the opening night of a circus. There are lots of flashy costumes, drama, and the worry that someone might fall off the high wire or have a lion confuse its tamer for a juicy steak. Only on ‘Dancing’, the fear is more about falling off the high heels or having a “star” confuse their partner with a Twister board.
