American racecar driver Jeff 'Rainbow Warrior' Gordon was born on Aug. 4, 1971,
in Vallejo, California, but was raised in Pittsboro, Indiana. Jeff began racing
at age five, and before he turned 18 he already won three short track races and
was named USAC Midget Car Racing rookie of the Year in 1989. He went on to have
two triumphant years in the NASCAR Busch series and set a record by capturing
11 poles in one season. In 1993, Jeff raced his first full season in Nextel Cup
for Hendricks Motorsports and finished 14th in points and was named Rookie of
the Year. He is the four-time NASCAR Cup series champion, three-time Daytona 500
winner as well as a four-time Brickyard 400 winner and is the youngest driver
in Nextel Cup history to achieve 50 career wins. Jeff is married to Belgian model
Ingrid Vandebosch, and they have one child.
