Birth Name: Jennie Finch

Jennie Finch might be the most well-known softball player in history. The California native was born in La Mirada on Sept. 3, 1980, and began playing the sport when she was just five-years-old. She learned to pitch at age eight. She grew up around the sport as a bat girl for nearby University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before excelling at it. By the time she graduated high school, the six-foot blonde lettered in the sport all four years (despite playing for four different coaches) and was named team captain in her senior year.
