Son of NASCAR racing legend and 7-time Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt, professional racecar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. was born on Oct. 10, 1974, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Dale Jr. began his driving career at age seventeen, and his first racecar was a 1978 Monte Carlo that he co-owned with his older half-brother Kerry. He is a two-time NASCAR Busch Grand National Series Champion, and he also has 12 NASCAR Nextel cup victories, more than any driver within the last five years.

As of 2006, Dale's career earnings were $20,642,359. Junior has appeared in the videos for Sheryl Crow's song "Steve McQueen," and Jay-Z's video "Show Me Want You Got" and made a cameo appearance in Will Ferrell comedy "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby." Dale's proudest moment was when he won the 2004 Daytona 500. When he's not racing his hobbies are computer gaming, music and "chillin."
