After 10 years of marriage, Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa has filed for divorce. She cited "irreconcilable differences" for the split from the Los Angeles Lakers star.

Vanessa stood by her man in 2003 after he was accused of sexual assault and admitted to having an affair.

The rumor is Kobe continued to be unfaithful to his wife. A source told TMZ, "She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough. This one is the straw that broke the camel's back."

Kobe Bryant has been fined $100,000 by high-ranking basketball officials for using a derogatory homophobic slur during the telecast of an end-of-season game on Tuesday night.

Bryant has apologized for his outburst, insisting he never meant to offend the gay and lesbian community - but his statement wasn't enough for National Basketball Association (NBA) bosses.

Calling the Los Angeles Lakers star's on-court comment "offensive and inexcusable", league commissioner David Stern announced the fine on Wednesday.

Basketball star Kobe Bryant has publicly apologized for uttering a gay slur during a heated game on Tuesday, insisting he didn't mean to cause offense to anyone.

The Los Angeles Lakers player was slapped with a technical foul during a game against the San Antonio Spurs, prompting him to verbally berate the referee with the use of a homophobic term.

His actions were condemned by the president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) on Wednesday and now Bryant has expressed his sorrow over his controversial remarks.

Kobe Bryant is under fire after allegedly mouthing a homophobic slur towards a referee last night. Bryant was given a technical foul for arguing a call by Bennie Adams. Broadcast cameras then captured Bryant's reaction as he sat on the bench.
