Moneyball
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin Schwartz - First thing I must say is...I basically know nothing about sports. I do watch the Super Bowl but only for the commercials. That said, I absolutely loved 'Money Ball,' which goes to prove, that you don't have to be a baseball fan, to think that this film, written by Aaron Sorkin and Steve Zaillan and directed by Bennett Miller, is absolutely wonderful.

Brad Pitt portrays real life Baseball legend, Billy Beane. I'm sure there are many people out there that have no idea who Mr. Beane is...I being one of them. But I do now. Beane, once a promi...

Scream 4
After seeing both “Arthur” and “Your Highness” last week, I could not believe how many other critics assigned them either the same score, or gave “Your Highness” a better grade. I found “Arthur” to be quite enjoyable, playing to Russell Brand’s strengths as my review states; while I thought “Your Highness,” was an immature comedy which fails to use raunchy humor effectively.

This week you’ll have the opportunity to see the long-awaited Wes Craven horror sequel “Scream 4,” the Carlos Saldanha animated adventure “Rio,” the off-beat Keanu Reeves comedy “Henry’s Crime,” and "The Conspirator"...

In a change of pace, I have already seen one of the week's upcoming movies ahead of time: "Ninja Assassin." As per my expectations, the film places a lesser emphasis on plot and a higher one on intense action sequences.

While the plot isn't horrendous, many of its aspects are not as well developed as they should have been. The quality of the action starts to make up this, but it's not enough to save the film.

"Ninja Assassin" is a mediocre movie at best. My opinion is that it's not worth wasting your money on seeing in the theater. If you really want to see it, I'd recommend waiti...
