Many stars attended last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, and black was one of the most popular colors on the red carpet.

Angelina Jolie showed off her particularly thin figure in a draped black gown. Other stars in black included Stacy Keibler, Jayma Mays, Amber Heard, Ashlee Simpson, Emma Stone, Glenn Close, Heather Morris, Tina Fey and Melissa McCarthy.

But there were some spots of color in the bunch, including Sofia Vergara's bright pink gown and Emily Blunt's seafoam green dress.

Kristen Wiig has finally silenced speculation of a "Bridesmaids" sequel, insisting she is "not planning" to write a follow-up.

Rumors have been rife the former "Saturday Night Live" funnywoman would pen "Bridesmaids 2" following the runaway success of the movie last year.

Castmember and stand-out star Melissa McCarthy recently admitted she would only sign on for a sequel if Wiig was involved, but the star, who co-wrote the screenplay with fellow lead Annie Mumolo, has now told fans not to expect a second outing.

She tells E! Online, "We're not planning on doing one (a sequel). We had a s...

2012 Golden Globes Fashion: Who Rocked The Red Carpet & Who Didn't?

2012 Golden Globes fashion
The Golden Globes are the first big awards show of the season, and the stars came out in colorful ensembles to attend one of Hollywood's most prestigious events leading up to the Academy Awards.

There were very few fashion missteps at this year's event. "Homeland" actress Morena Baccarin wore a daring black dress that showed quite a bit of cleavage (is that appropriate?), while "Ringer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar took a chance with a blue and white tie-dyed gown (too bohemian?).

There wasn't a lot of flash on the red carpet. Few stars wore sequins (Laura Dern, Madonna, Diane Lane and did)...

Will Melissa McCarthy & Kristen Wiig Return For 'Bridesmaids 2'?

January 10th, 2012 8:47am EST
Bridesmaids
Melissa McCarthy has snubbed the idea of making a "Bridesmaids" sequel without Kristen Wiig.

Reports suggest executives at Universal are keen to follow-up the film's success with a second movie, but star and co-writer Wiig appears not to be interested, prompting speculation the film may go ahead without her.

But it now appears another break-out star of the 2011 film will also turn down a return if movie bosses cannot persuade Wiig to reconsider.

McCarthy, who played horny Megan in the hit comedy, says, "I think it's a terrible idea (to do it without Wiig)."

But she insists she would be ...

Worst Dressed Stars At The 2011 Emmy Awards

September 19th, 2011 3:00pm EDT
Julianna Margulies
We love great gowns, but we really live for the fashion fails on the red carpet. Check out the stars who really missed the mark at this year's Emmy Awards:

First up - Gwyneth Paltrow. Two pieces equal double trouble for Gwenny. Her hair and make-up look flawless and her body is amazing, but the black lace midriff-baring Gucci gown pushed the envelop (and not in a good way.)

Next - Julianna Margulies. The white Armani Prive with the space age bustier looks like something even Judy Jetson wouldn't want in her closet.

Then there's Zooey Deschanel who chose a gown in a an interesting shade -...

As a shameless lover of entertainment, there are certain actors and musicians I passionately support through the good, the bad, and the downright awful. I followed Justin Timberlake from ‘N Sync’s “I Want You Back” to his solo smash, “SexyBack.” And I’ve happily followed the brilliant Melissa McCarthy from The WB’s “Gilmore Girls” to ABC’s “Samantha Who?” and most recently to the silver screen in Bridesmaids. After her scene-stealing performance in this laugh-til-you-cry wedding comedy, I am confident her fanbase will grow exponentially.

'Bridesmaids' is directed by Paul Feig and written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo. I have to say right off the bat... This is one of the funniest films I've seen since 'Hangover'.

From the opening scene, you know what kind of movie this is going to be. It's morning. Annie (Kristen Wiig) wakes up in bed next to Jon Hamm. His character doesn't even have a name. He's sleazy... He's rich and he drives a Porsche. Annie runs into the bathroom, puts on lipstick, fluffs her hair and gets back into bed. Jon wakes up, looks at Annie and very sweetly says...'I want you to leave but I don't ...

I confess that I am one of those people who have to see the previews when I go to the movies. Trailers, persuasively edited, teasers for upcoming films, are designed to seduce and entice with flashes of movies’ brilliance set to powerful scores. They are movies at their absolute best. While I am a sucker for them, I’m blessed with the gift of knowing if I’m going to love or hate a movie solely on those two-minute gems. Being a trailer whisperer won’t bring in the big bucks, but it helps me avoid paying for bad movies that will be on DVD in a couple months. Thanks to my skills, I didn’t...

Review: Seth Rogen Steals Scenes With Caustic Sarcasm In 'Paul'

March 18th, 2011 12:38pm EDT
Paul
If E.T. spent enough time on Earth adapting to our language and customs, he probably would have become a wisecracking rebel just like Paul, the title character in director Greg Mottola’s latest buddy comedy. This alien with attitude, voiced by the gravelly Seth Rogen, steals scenes with his caustic sarcasm, penchant for practical jokes, and his gross personal habits. Paul is neither naive nor innocent, but his maturity or lack thereof is what makes him so hilarious.

While Rogen is humorous in the film, it helps that Brits Simon Pegg and Nick Frost pen the screenplay for “Paul.” The two...

It’s a transitional year for the Emmys, meaning this is one of the more exciting races in recent memories. Yes, that was a little cynical, but it’s the sad truth of the Emmys – habits are hard to break for the voters. Luckily, this year the virgin nominees have afforded them an extensive choice for brand new habits.
