TV's original Bionic Woman has lashed out at Brit Michelle Ryan's remake because it's too violent. Actress Lindsay Wagner, who played superheroine Jaime Sommers in the original 1970s series and subsequent movie spin-offs, isn't a fan of the new action drama, which debuted last month.

British actress Michelle Ryan has beaten out competition from some of Hollywood's leading ladies to land the title role in a TV update of 1970s television show The Bionic Woman. The original show starred Lindsay Wagner and ran from 1976 to 1978. It was a spin-off from the Lee Majors-starring The Six Million Dollar Man.

* Nicole Kidman is being lined up to appear in an upcoming episode of TV show Nip/Tuck. Kidman approached the drama's creator Ryan Murphy about securing a cameo role. Murphy says, "She said, 'I want to do the show, but I want to wear lots of scary prosthetics.'"
