Emily VanCamp was born May 12, 1986, in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. She started dancing at age three and moved to Montreal when she was 12 to attend a prestigious ballet school. When her older sister was cast as a ballerina in a film, VanCamp caught the acting bug.
In 2000, VanCamp portrayed a teenage Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the miniseries Jackie O: A Life Story. She then appeared in the Sundance film Lost & Delirious before landing a role on the short-lived TV drama Glory Days. She followed this up in 2002 with Everwood. The actress has also appeared in the films A Different Loyalty and The Ring Two.
In her spare time, VanCamp enjoys photography, riding horses and yoga.
Canadian-born actress Emily Van Camp began her career with the Canadian production of Are You Afraid of the Dark? in 2000. She would soon follow this with roles in Glory Days and The Ring Two before scoring her big break with the starring role of Amy Abbott on the series Everwood in 2002.
