'Dancing With The Stars' Pro Anna Trebunskaya Expecting Her First Child, Won't Reveal The Father

September 4th, 2013 10:55pm EDT
Anna Trebunskaya
Dance pro Anna Trebunskaya has finally revealed why she won't be returning for the upcoming 17th season of Dancing With The Stars -- she's pregnant!

The 32-year-old Russian split from husband Jonathan Roberts, also a pro on the show for seven seasons, last fall, and she isn't saying who the father is. The couple were married for nine years.

Trebunskaya's name was missing from Wednesday morning's announcement of the new DWTS cast, which included three new pros joining the show for their first season.

The dancer, who is four months pregnant, has gone to the show's finals twice, once with f...

More Shocking Results On 'Dancing with the Stars' As Two Go Home

October 10th, 2012 9:44am EDT
Dancing with the Stars
For the second week the results on “Dancing with the Stars” has some shocking results. With a double elimination no one was safe.

After a one hour special that gave fans a second look at the Monday night performances; the results show kicked off with the judge’s encore performance choice. Head judge Len Goodman called the night’s dances the brilliant and the best he had ever seen. Calling it a dance filled with fun and shear energy, Goodman wanted to see the Quickstep from Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough.

The first results of the night were Melissa and Tony, Giles and Peta, and Emmitt an...

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke reunite, bringing together the couple that took the mirror ball trophy home in the third season and started a streak of four athletes winning the competition.

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough pair up, although Johnson won season 8 with someone else: Mark Ballas (his partner is coming up).

Happy 'Dancing With the Stars' Monday!!! It's rock week, so you know we are in for some fun tonight! KISS will be opening the show and then coming back for more performances on Tuesday. I just met them on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards and boy .... they are really something :)

Sadly, we've had to say goodbye to two of our stars, tennis champion Martina Navratilova and actor/singer Jack Wagner. Musician Gavin DeGraw has been in the bottom two for both eliminations, so you know he is really feeling the pressure tonight. So far our celebrities have been consistently ...

'Dancing With The Stars' Week 3: Jack Wagner Gets Undeserved Elimination

JACK WAGNER Eliminated on DWTS
Coming into last night’s results show was a bit difficult, since all of the stars performances were so amazing for week three. Even Len, who is usually overly critical, spoke about how unbelievable the performances were; and tried to convince the producers that no one should be sent home.

But, the tears and emotions from Monday’s heartfelt night had to be pushed aside, and the time came when someone in the group would have to say goodbye. The judges scores going into elimination were as follows in ranking order.

1. Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas- 81

'Dancing With The Stars' Week 3: Contestants Step It Up On Emotionally Charged Night

April 3rd, 2012 9:47am EDT
Katherine Jenkins' Third Dance
With emotions running wild, last night was an amazing and beautiful night for season fourteen of Dancing With The Stars. For week three the stars had to share personal stories about their most memorable year, which led to some impeccable performances. As for their choice of dance, the contestants had to choose one unlearned dance, which included the rumba, samba, salsa, waltz, foxtrot and jive for the evening.

Throughout the night contestants touched the hearts of viewers with their heartfelt stories, and moves that varied from graceful to extremely sexy. And, as each of the celebrities ...

'Dancing With The Stars' Week Two Elimination Not A Surprise

March 28th, 2012 9:30am EDT
Martina Navratilova Eliminated on DWTS
After a killer kick off and week two’s struggles with the quickstep and jive, the stars gathered to find out who would be the first in the competition to go home. What a night! And I would say one of the most nerve-wracking. Especially since one of the contestants would be eliminated without having the opportunity to prove what they really could do on the dance floor.

However Sugarland helped ease the tension with their country tunes; and one by one contestants were told if they would be safe or placed in the bottom. The scores going into the elimination were the following in ranking orde...

'Dancing With The Stars' Finale Crowns J.R. Martinez The Hero Of The Ballroom

JR Martinez Wins 'Dancing With The Stars'
So last night ‘Dancing With The Stars’ crowned a new champion for it’s thirteenth season, and it was an outcome that I wouldn’t have predicted. Then again, I feel like I’ve been swinging back and forth all season, so it’s nothing new.

After Monday night’s show, Rob held onto the top spot, and I really hoped he would hang onto it. Here’s where the leader board stood on Monday:

1. Rob and Cheryl - 57
2. Ricki and Derek - 54
2. J.R. and Karina - 54

As usual, all the fallen stars took the stage in the first number, and it never fails to be kind of nostalgic. Which is weird, consid...

DWTS Week Five Elimination: Carson Kressley
80s week came to an end last night, and fortunately for you dudes and dudettes, that means I’m going to have to stop with the 80s slang. Well, I don’t have to, but you’d all probably quit reading my totally tubular reviews.

Okay, I’m done. Here’s how the stars stood on the leader board after Monday night:

1. J.R. and Karina - 28
2. Rob and Cheryl - 25
2. David and Kym - 25
3. Hope and Maks - 24
3. Ricki and Derek - 24
4. Nancy and Tristan - 22
5. Chaz and Lacey - 21

We jumped right in with our 3rd place finishers, Ricki moving on to next week while Hope was in j...

'Dancing With The Stars' Week Five Performances Are Totally Bodacious

DWTS 80's Week
Last night ‘Dancing With The Stars’ brought back side ponytails, leg warmers, and music that either inspired nostalgia or mild embarrassment. Or both. Yep, it was 80s night, and while I was young in the 80s, it’s a decade that was hard to forget for anyone who lived through it. Honestly, I’m pretty sure everyone in the fashion and entertainment industries went insane for about ten years. Pants with stirrups? Check. Movies where mannequins came to life? Check. And I’m pretty sure I had an enormous sweater covered in graffiti of every color that was totally radical, dude.

DWTS Says Goodbye To Chynna Phillips
Last Tuesday I was so sure that Chaz was going to go home... and then he didn’t. A much better dancer did. It made me worried for Carson going into last night’s elimination. Then again, Chynna fell from a second place standing to being tied for second to last place with Nancy and Chaz. That is not a good place to be at all.

Here’s where the leader board stood Monday night:

In a week, we lost another dancer, Brooke got a new last name (congrats, Mrs. Charvet!), and all the stars started freaking out. Yep, week four is about that time for the pressure to kick in, especially after the last elimination. The voters at home decided last week that sometimes dancing ability won’t save you.

Two weeks ago, I predicted that Kristin would make the top five. Well, I guess not. Meanwhile Chaz is still dancing. I swear, I’ll tear my hair out if we have another Bristol Palin phenomenon. I have a hard time seeing that happening, but it has before.

Every season we get a week with the personal stories, and this season is no different. This week’s theme was the “most memorable year” in our star’s lives. Based on the show’s intro, I went searching for some tissues when the opening credits started.

Here’s how the night went:

Rob Kardashian (reality star) & Cheryl Burke
Dance: Foxtrot
Scores: 8, 8, 8
Len said Rod put the “dash” into Kardashian. I thought he was going to say “dashing”, but ok. He also thought Rob’s footwork and posture were good. Bruno said he liked the way Rob was starting to “play” with Cheryl, and that the...

It was a mostly lackluster Monday night on "Dancing With The Stars," but that’s bound to happen when you throw a bunch of almost-celebrities together in a position totally out of their comfort zones. Some weeks it just works a lot like herding cats.

Well, that’s probably a little harsh, but the day I start taking this show too seriously, it’s time to stop watching. That time hasn’t come yet, obviously, so last night it was time to sit down and watch all the flashy filler, waiting for the only thing I wanted to hear, who was going home.

Here’s where the leader board stood as of Monday ni...

Who gets the boot first on DWTS? That’s the question on the minds of viewers, dancers, and stars alike going into the first elimination of the season. Well, any elimination, really, but the first one is always the worst. It’s the one where the excitement of the new season gives way to the “oh yeah, there’s a sucky part of this too.”

But before we got to the elimination show, we got an hour to “meet the cast”. Highlights included a clip of Chaz admitting he’s scared of Cheryl, Carson excitedly announcing a crush on Maks while trying on Maks’ clothes, and J.R. giving us a glimpse of his ...

Tuning in to the first night of any season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ feels a little like the opening night of a circus. There are lots of flashy costumes, drama, and the worry that someone might fall off the high wire or have a lion confuse its tamer for a juicy steak. Only on ‘Dancing’, the fear is more about falling off the high heels or having a “star” confuse their partner with a Twister board.

It’s also the night we get to see if our presumptions about how well certain stars will do are going to go how we want them too. There are obviously late bloomers, but you usually know on n...

Us audience members were officially cut off Tuesday morning. No more voting for "Dancing With The Stars." But the judges still had another set of scores to give on Tuesday’s finale, and we got three hours of show to sit through. Three hours. They had to make up for Monday’s show only being an hour long, I guess.

Luckily the first hour was a repeat, so I don’t have to write five million extra words for a third of the show. Then the opening sequence and voice over for the real show kicked in, and were especially dramatic. That is saying a lot when talking about this show. I a...

'Dancing With The Stars' Week Four Elimination Is 'The Heart Of The Show' Sugar Ray

SUGAR RAY LEONARD - ANNA TREBUNSKAYA
Classical Week performances are over and done, but ‘Dancing With The Stars’ still had last night’s results show to milk the orchestra. It wasn’t quite as effective with Jennifer Hudson taking Katherine Jenkins’ spot at center stage, but that wasn’t really what mattered. What mattered is who the heck was going to go home. This was one of those weeks that it seemed like it could have been anyone.

In fact, the first couple declared to be in jeopardy was sort of a shock based on judge scores, but even then I still wondered if it really could have been their time. I’m getting ahead of mys...

Tchaikovsky, Rota, Bocelli, Williams... It’s Classical Week on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and the band has gone and multiplied into a 46 member orchestra. On top of that, we had some amazing guest stars, like violinist David Garrett and singer Katherine Jenkins. I’m not a huge fan of classical music, but I enjoy it enough, and this was one of the best theme nights I can remember in recent seasons.

The stage was really quite amazing to see, and it brought a whole new element to the show. Last season they did Acoustic Week, and that was uneventful in my eyes, but this was a game changer. ...

'Dancing With The Stars' Review: Week Three Elimination... Wendy Williams

Look, you fall down on ‘Dancing’, and you’re going to have to talk about it and hear about it until you have a nervous breakdown. It’s just the way it is.

Some of them are all of those things at the same time, and this week they get to tell us their personal stories. It wasn’t as silly as I thought it was going to be.

The outcomes were a little surprising, most especially because they gave us a brand new pecking order at the end of the night. Again. This season is shaping up to be unpredictable. Don’t these people realize that they’re toyi...

It's inevitable. One by one, all the contestants on 'Dancing With The Stars' will go home until there is only one left standing. It's no fun for anyone, but for the very first to go, it downright stinks.

Of course, before we kick someone off the dance floor crying (maybe), the first hour of 'Dancing' is the recap hour. I actually really like to rewatch the dances without all the extraneous stuff. And I have to admit that on second watch, yes, I was a little harsh in my criticism of Petra this week. Did I think she had any better a chance going into the elimination show after a rewatch...

It's week two of 'Dancing With The Stars', and expectations are high. For some. Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley came out on fire last week, and we wanted to see if they can keep up the high standard. Was it luck? A product of the opening night high? I was especially interested in seeing Kirstie, considering I expected utter clumsiness last week. She shocked a lot of people. Can she do it again?

The rest of our stars are... not so heavily anticipated. In fact, Mike Catherwood couldn't get worse. Well, I shouldn't say that. He could fall down this week, or have a nervous bre...
