Lily Tomlin and longtime girlfriend Jane Wagner married on New Year's Eve after 43 years together.

News that the 74-year-old actress exchanged vows with Wagner came in the form of an online post from Chicago Tribune writer Liz Smith, a close friend of the couple.

"[M]y longtime friends, Lily Tomlin and her love, the writer Jane Wagner, got married on the eve of 2014... My wish is that their happiness will be as great as their combined talents," Smith wrote.

Jane Wagner and Lily Tomlin
Lily Tomlin has backtracked on her prior decision not to wed her partner of 42 years, insisting she now wants to walk down the aisle.

The 9 to 5 star has been dating writer Jane Wagner since 1971, but despite a change in the nation's law paving the way for same-sex couples to wed, Tomlin claimed organizing her big day would be too much hassle.

Nevertheless, the couple is now considering a union.

Tomlin tells E! Online, "Jane and I have been together for 42 years. We're thinking maybe we'll get married. You don't really need to get married, but marriage is awfully nice. Everybody I kno...

This weekend, Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds will add their names to the long and distinguished list of actors who have tackled the “body swap” movie. After a night of drinking, the two wake up in each other’s bodies, something neither of them really wanted.

Body swap movies have been around for a long time and are usually quite entertaining, if formulaic and predictable. Here’s our list of the Top Ten Body Swap Movi...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies 8/9/09 - 8/15/09

August 10th, 2009 9:57am EDT
District 9
I finally saw the Sam Mendes dramedy "Away We Go" starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski. The film is thoroughly enjoyable with its highs and its lows sharing equal poignancy. It is the perfect hybrid of a drama and a comedy.

Music throughout the film is spot on, appropriate in each instance for the emotions the filmmakers are trying to convey. Rudolph and Krasinski have a wonderful chemistry as husband and wife and engage in hilarious interactions with the other couples in the movie. Krasinski plays the role of Burt with a dopey charm that's hard not to love.

This week is crowd...

The Best and Worst of John Travolta

December 4th, 2008 11:43am EST
John Travolta
In recent years, it's become hip to pick on John Travolta for his movie choices. It's strange, considering not many actors can say that they've starred in three truly iconic films (see numbers 1, 3, and 6 on the "best" list). He's also achieved longevity that many actors can only dream of, due in large part to his genuine, "good guy" persona. So, sure, he's made some bad films. Who hasn't? His good movies still outnumber the bad ones.

Since John is putting on the dog in the new animated hit, "Bolt," we thought it would be a good time to take a look at some notable films from Travolta's...

Is HBO Losing Its Edge?

April 14th, 2008 10:57am EDT
The Sopranos
Remember the slogan, "It's not TV, It's HBO?" Well, up until a couple months ago this marketing ploy actually rang true. HBO has long been the trendsetter of original series that break all boundaries and push audiences' perception of what television is and should be.

Unfortunately, thanks to the culminations of the network's most beloved quartet of series - Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, and most recently The Wire - the Crown Royal of premium cable programming is in threat of losing its edge over the best of the rest.

There was a time when HBO stood for first-run...

Woody Harrelson
Woody Harrelson is to play gay as an ageing bisexual escort in what is being touted as the follow-up to cult 1980 film American Gigolo. The star will pick up where Richard Gere's seedy character left off, playing an escort of Washington, D.C., socialites with a gay lover waiting for him at home.

Writer/director Paul Shrader admits "The Walker" is a continuation of American Gigolo. He says, "His gifts are now more social than sexual."

Shrader accepts the choice of Harrelson may be a surprise to some: "This will be quite a transformation for him, from the hairpiece and his manner ...
