The actress Maui Taylor was born Maureen Anne Rodriguez Taylor on June 28, 1983, in Brighton, England. At the young age of 14 she got the lead role in the Philippino version of "Anna Kerenina." Early films include "Tatarin" and her big breakthrough "Gamita."
British-born Filipino beauty Maui Taylor was raised in London before being sent to the Philippines by her family as a young teenager, and eventually broke through into show business thanks to a little help from her cousin -- who was a member of a popular dance troupe in the Philippines. After making her small-screen debut on the Filipino soap opera Anna Karenina at the age of 14, Taylor quickly launched a successful feature career thanks to smoldering roles in such films as Gamitan, Hibla, and Sex Drive. Her uninhibited personality served well to make her a sex icon for young men across the Philippines, and Taylor could frequently be seen gracing the cover of FHM in various states of undress.
