Alabama native Barret Swatek pursued a life in competitive figure skating until she was 12 years old. Her natural affinity for performance made her a natural on the ice, and even after she stopped skating, Swatek found a place on the stage in community theater productions. After studying film in college, Swatek began appearing in movies and on television, playing a nurse in Lethal_Weapon_4, and making a guest appearance on Just_Shoot_Me. In 2000, Swatek was cast as Cheryl in the WB series 7th_Heaven, which she'd stick with until 2003.
