Morgan Freeman has treated himself to an early Christmas present - his own private plane. The actor, who endured a stint in the U.S. Air Force as a young adult, began learning to fly in 2002 and quickly went on to earn his pilot's license.

Freeman, now an expert in the skies, recently bought his first jet - and he's christening the aircraft by taking it on a journey around the world.

He explains, "I'm flying from here to South Africa. Then, since we've got some business down there, we're going to Botswana... then we're going to go to Kenya, northern Kenya, because we've been invited t...

Hilary Swank & Mira Nair Talk 'Amelia'

October 23rd, 2009 11:41am EDT
Last Friday the Essex County Airport in New Jersey hosted an event for Mira Nair's new film, 'Amelia.' It was here that the 73 year old Lockheed Electra airplane used during the filming of 'Amelia' sat glistening in a bright new hanger like a ghost out on a beach. The Electra was stunning to see up close and truly makes one realize just how strong willed (and a little nutty) one must have been to attempt to fly such a craft around the world much the way Amelia Earhart tried in 1937. Think about it; when these planes were built there were no commercial forms of airplane travel, no comput...

Review: 'Amelia' Displays Stunning Cinematography But Storyline Is Dry & Lacking

October 22nd, 2009 10:21am EDT
The new Hilary Swank, Richard Gere led film, 'Amelia,' is a tale of two films. The cast is stellar and the cinematography is simply wonderful; unfortunately something is awry with the script since the film is entirely too long, dry and lacking when it comes to an interesting or an in depth storyline between the two lead characters of Amelia Earhart (played by Hilary Swank) and her husband/man behind the career, George Putnam (played by Richard Gere).

The film covers only the most basic portions of Earhart and Putnam's time together in saying that they were in an open marriage and busin...

In the article, Swank says, "My boyfriend's son is six years old, and you wonder at what age you should stop walking around nude. Every morning he comes into the bedroom, and you're just nude. But he doesn't look twice; he doesn't think about it...

Fashion Intervention: Celebrities Who Need a Makeover

January 9th, 2008 11:30am EST
Bai Ling
There ought to be a "Fashion 101" class for celebrities before they are allowed to walk any red carpet event or leave their homes. We are not saying they have to dress up every single day of their lives, but if they are going to be in the entertainment industry they should at least look the part when out and about.

Three Hollywood stars who continue to make a fashion stink whenever they step out on the scene are Leelee Sobieski, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Bai Ling. It is becoming a bit depressing watching these ladies dress; therefore, we are calling for a fashion intervention.
