Jake Gyllenhaal & Chris Pine considering royal roles in Into The Woods movie

Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal are reportedly in talks to join Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep in the movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical Into The Woods.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two actors will make their onscreen singing debuts if they sign on to play fairytale princes in the project.

The film, which will feature new Sondheim songs, will be shot in London this autumn (13).

The cast so far features Streep playing The Witch, Depp The Wolf and British comedian James Corden as The Baker.

Meryl Streep Donates $1 Million To New York Public Theatre

Meryl Streep has handed New York's Public Theater $1 million in honor of the company's founder Joe Papp and late producer/director Nora Ephron.

The legendary actress made her Broadway debut in the theatre's production of Trelawny of the Wells in 1975, and was mentored by late impresario Papp, who set up the Public in 1954.

On Thursday, a representative for the company announced Streep has donated the generous amount in memory of Papp and her regular collaborator Ephron, who passed away in June.
