Dakota Fanning & Leelee Sobieski Had Interesting Hairstyles At Vanity Fair Cocktail Party

April 18th, 2012 8:40am EDT
Dakota Fanning & Leelee Sobieski
Many celebrities attended Tuesday night's Vanity Fair cocktail party for the Tribeca Film Festival at the State Courthouse in Manhattan's Financial District. But two stars stuck out for their interesting fashion sense.

Dakota Fanning wore a cute vibrant pink frock, but what set her apart was her hairstyle. She pinned a yellow headpiece on the crown of her head, and it seemed out of place.

Leelee Sobieski wore a school marm white dress with a billowing skirt reminiscent of the 1950s. She slicked back her hair and tucked it underneath her neck.

Leelee Sobieski looked mellow in yellow at a screening of "La Dolce Vita" in New York City yesterday (photo below).

Leelee recently told People magazine that she doesn't allow her 17-month-old daughter Louisanna "Lewi" Ray to play computer games and educational shows like "Baby Einstein."

She explained, "I don’t want her to not be able to talk with her friends about what's going on, but I really want to encourage the reading and the playing. A lot of kids now in New York I see can open an iPhone before they can even walk practically. [They do] the finger slide."

Leelee will star in the...

Is Nicolas Cage Washed Up or Just Making Bad Decisions?

September 5th, 2008 10:40am EDT
The Wicker Man
In 1996 Nicolas Cage stood on stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and accepted his first, and currently only, Oscar for his tour de force performance in Mike Figgis' Leaving Las Vegas. This past year, while starring in Neil LaBute's ill-fated remake of the British horror classic The Wicker Man, Cage, donning a grizzly bear costume, punched a woman in the face.

There are two sides to Nicolas Cage-the go-to superstar with the droopy eyes and smug demeanor and Cage the talented, easily forgotten actor. Unfortunately the latter, Academy Award winning Cage persona is a distant memory a...

Separated At Birth? Stars Who Look Like Other Stars

August 1st, 2008 8:45am EDT
Idina Menzel & Penelope Cruz
Ever hear the theory that everyone has a twin? Some believe that each and every person has a double somewhere on Earth. Whether that theory is true is debatable. However, it's uncanny how some celebrities resemble each other. Sometimes it's an obvious trait: similar hairstyle, body type or facial features. Other times it's more subtle: similar roles or names.

Whatever the reason, the following stars have something about them that makes them look like another famous somebody. And that's not always a good thing.

1.) Perhaps it's the enormous beer gut that makes this trio seem r...

Fashion Intervention: Celebrities Who Need a Makeover

January 9th, 2008 11:30am EST
Bai Ling
There ought to be a "Fashion 101" class for celebrities before they are allowed to walk any red carpet event or leave their homes. We are not saying they have to dress up every single day of their lives, but if they are going to be in the entertainment industry they should at least look the part when out and about.

Three Hollywood stars who continue to make a fashion stink whenever they step out on the scene are Leelee Sobieski, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Bai Ling. It is becoming a bit depressing watching these ladies dress; therefore, we are calling for a fashion intervention.

Celebrity Fashion Review: Starpulse Critiques The Stars

November 12th, 2007 10:40am EST
Tom & Katie
Let's face it. At one point or another, we all love to check out what celebrities are wearing, especially when it comes to red carpet events. Some girls know how to work it. Some boys know how to make it. And some stars just can't get it together.

Girls who work it:

At the DKNY Delicious Night Fragrance Launch Party on Nov. 7, the ever changing Christina Ricci was certainly working it, looking fabulous in a flowy come-kiss-me lipstick red dress. Christina kept it simple yet still tres chic by wearing black pumps and carrying a black clutch to compliment her outfit.
