Does Tom Cruise Have A Crush On His Co-Star?

12/11/2015 9:07am EST
Tom Cruise & Cobie Smulders
Tom Cruise is currently filming "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" in New Orleans, and he was spotted between takes with his arm around co-star Cobie Smulders. It's probably just innocent flirting among colleagues.

The pair had just finished filming a scene in the French Quarter when they were photographed smiling at each other and with the 53-year-old actor's arm around the "How I Met Your Mother" star's back.

While Cruise is single, Smulders, 33, is married to actor and comedian Taran Killam, with whom she has two children.

On-set romance rumors are nothing new. Celebrities are often lin...

Cobie Smulders Goes Topless For Women's Health, Reveals Secret B
Call this one a double-edged sword -- gorgeous Avengers: Age of Ultron star Cobie Smulders has gone topless for the cover and in a sexy spread in the May issue of Women's Health magazine, in which she shocked fans by revealing that she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 25.

The 33-year-old star received the news in 2007, while she was working on hit CBS series How I Met Your Mother, and she managed to keep her three-year battle secret from the public. Her diagnosis came during the third season of the show.

"I had tumors on both ovaries, and the cancer had spread into my lymph nodes and ...

'How I Met Your Mother' Cast Knew The Show's Ending Since Series Began

4/1/2014 11:41pm EDT
How I Met Your Mother
The cast of How I Met Your Mother has known how the series was going to end since the show's beginning back in 2005.

Producers revealed the end of the story to stars Josh Radnor and Lyndsy Fonseca, who play star Josh Radnor's children on the series, when scenes for the end of the series were shot at the beginning in order to ensure that the series came full circle.

"(Creators) Carter (Bays) and Craig (Thomas), are so smart. They had actually planned the ending during our pilot," says star Cobie Smulders, who plays Radnor's love interest on the show. "They shot some scenes with the two chi...

'How I Met Your Mother' Series Finale: Was It Legendary?

4/1/2014 7:43am EDT
How I Met Your Mother
"How I Met Your Mother" completed its legendary nine-season run with a series finale that was lovingly poignant without losing its trademark humor. The series finale zoomed more than fifteen years in the future, chronicling major milestones in the gangs' lives who promised to always be there for the "big moments" but still grew apart.

Marshall and Lily (Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigon respectively) indeed went to Rome and had two more children. Marshall finally achieved his dreams of becoming a judge (aka Judge Fudge" or "Fudge Supreme"). Due to the demands of Robin...

Cobie Smulders Gets Sexy & Strapless At The 'Captain America: Th
Cobie Smulders hit the red carpet at the premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Thursday night, wearing a sexy strapless black dress to the big event.

The actress reprises her role as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill from 2012's "The Avengers" in the film, which opens in theaters on April 4. It's safe to say her character survives through the film as she'll once again be back as Hill in 2015's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Cobie appeared in the pilot episode of ABC's Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., and ironically she voiced the character of Wonder Woman in last month's "The Leg...

Review: 'Delivery Man' Starring Vince Vaughn Delivers The Laughs And The Charm

11/20/2013 1:30pm EST
Delivery Man
To say that David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) is a 'Big Daddy' would be an understatement. David has fathered 533 children of which 142 have filed a class action lawsuit to find out the identity of their biological father.

If you're wondering how exactly David became the father of all these kids, wonder no more.  From 1990 thru 1992, he made multiple sperm donations, under the pseudonym of...Starbuck.  He was paid $35.00 a pop by a fertility clinic, racking up over $20,000.

Apparently, David's sperm was very popular. 'Delivery Man', written and directed by Ken Scott, based on his French Canadi...

Premiere Recap: 'How I Met Your Mother' Returns For Final Season

9/24/2013 2:15pm EDT
How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Premiere
How I Met Your Mother premiered its final season last night.  I was saying the same thing a year ago, but then CBS negotiated for a ninth and final season to be made.  Season 9 will be the story of the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding, which of course will culminate in Ted finally meeting the mother.  Ted is still a couple days away from meeting her, but we got to see her for the first time in the final scene of season eight.  She is the bass player in the band for the wedding, and is played by Cristin Milioti.

Season nine picks up at 11am on Friday morning, 55 hours before the weddi...

Top 5 Things You Need to Know Going Into Season 9 Of 'How I Met Your Mother'

9/22/2013 3:00pm EDT
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is returning this Monday for its ninth and final season.  I'm pretty sure it's for real this time.  You may remember that season eight was reportedly going to be the final season, but since ratings were at all time highs, CBS went into negotiations with show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas to do another season.  All of the actors' contracts were up at the end of season 8, and it appeared that Jason Segel, who said he wanted to focus on his movie career, was the biggest roadblock.  As soon as Segel signed on, everything else fell into place.  Whether you've missed...

'How I Met Your Mother' Recap: 'Something Old' – Is Robin Freaking Out?

5/8/2013 9:14am EDT
cobie smulders
HIMYM returned last night with “Something Old,” the tale of Robin searching for something she supposedly buried in Central Park when she was a kid.  While on vacation with her father, she decided to leave an old bracelet in a box and told herself that if she ever got married she would come back and find it to use it as her something old at the wedding.

Robin tries to subtly tell Barney that she wants him to help her, but he doesn’t pick up on it.  Instead he goes to have some bonding time with Mr. Scherbatsky.  It turns out they are actually getting along quite well, and Barney decides to...

'How I Met Your Mother' Recap: 'The Fortress'

3/19/2013 3:01pm EDT
HIMYM: The Fortress
HIMYM returned from a short hiatus last night with “The Fortress,” referring to Barney’s swinging bachelor pad.  With season nine now a done deal, all storylines are now fast forwarded to a year from now, spring 2014. In this one, Robin pressures Barney to finally let go of the Fortress of Barnitude. Barney is hesitant.

With Lily now working as the Captain’s art consultant, Marshall has been stuck with more than his fair share of Marvin duties. Marshall says that they haven’t been intimate in weeks, and that she hasn’t even had time to sit down and watch their favorite show, Woodworthy Man...

'How I Met Your Mother' Season 8 Continues With 'Band or DJ?'

1/15/2013 3:22pm EST
Robin and Barney meet with Mr. Sherbatsky
How I Met Your Mother returned Monday night amid swirling rumors of a renewal for a ninth season.  The episode was slow to build but finished with a bang.

In the last episode Barney asked Robin to marry him.  She said yes, but there’s one problem:  he never asked Mr. Sherbatsky for permission.  Robin’s father (also named Robin and played by the perfectly casted Ray Wise) has always been a rather scary individual, and the Barney was not looking forward to the idea of asking for Robin’s hand in marriage.  However, when they get to the restaurant to meet up with he claims to be “fun now.”  He...

'HIMYM': Splitsville

11/13/2012 4:46pm EST
The autumn of break-ups came to a close on last night’s all-new HIMYM. Previously, Quinn and Barney had called of their engagement and Victoria decided she couldn’t be with Ted if Robin was still a part of his life.

That left Nick and Robin as the last surviving couple. Things were seemingly going great, until Nick pulled his groin playing basketball with the guys. With Nick sidelined from sex due to the injury, Robin began to realize the attraction may have been purely physical. When Robin asked the group if they thought Nick was dumb, they went through an amusing reel of flashbacks ...

'How I Met Your Mother': Who Wants To Be A Godfather?

10/16/2012 10:47am EDT
at maclarens
With Marshall and Lily in new parent mode, the gang had been a little out of sync lately. They had instructed the others to not bother them with anything that wasn’t “an 8 out of 10 or higher.” So when Ted was having problems with Victoria and Robin was having problems with Nick, they decided to keep it to themselves.

When Marshall and Lily finally got some free time, they had a new view of the world as a scary and dangerous place. They decided that with Marvin to think about now, it was time to draft up a will. The answers to most questions came easy, but the biggest of all was who w...

'How I Met Your Mother': Lily And Marshall Search For A Nanny

How I Met Your Mother returned last night for the second episode of what is looking increasingly likely to be the final season of the show. Co-creator Craig Thomas told TV Guide, "We wanted the season premiere to feel momentous because this could be the beginning of the last chapter. There are negotiations happening, but I don't know how that's gonna go and I don't know when I'll know if there'll be a Season 9. Carter [Bays] and I are really writing the season as if it's the last season and this is how we would start it." Last week’s premiere gave us the big reveal that Ted would meet hi...

'How I Met Your Mother' Season 8: 5 Spoilers You Need To Know

9/4/2012 1:00pm EDT
Cast of How I Met Your Mother
“How I Met Your Mother” is hands-down one of my favorite shows. I own all of the seasons on DVD, and still have about 35 episodes saved on DVR. So it pains me to say that season 7’s finale was a little underwhelming as we saw Barney prepare to marry Robin instead of the fabulous Quinn (played by the even more fabulous Becki Newton) and Ted (Josh Radnor) motor off into the sunset with The One Who Got Away, Victoria, on her wedding day. Nevertheless, Marshall and Lily finally brought little Marvin into the world, and the show seemed to be inching closer to revealing the elusive mother. Th...

TV Report Card: Grading 10 Season Finales

5/25/2012 12:07pm EDT
Revenge Cast
Season finales are essentially the Hollywood version of final exams. They have to shock and awe and entice viewers into returning after four arduous months of dead air. From births and deaths to break-ups and OMG-worthy shockers, I’m grading 10 season finales. The SPOILER ALERT is implied.

Reckoning, Revenge’s thrilling season ender saw Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) not only confront her father’s killer in a satisfying and strangely sweet final fight, but surrender to her feelings for ruggedly handsome bartender, Jack. It wouldn’t be “Revenge” without infuriating twists and double-c...

Cobie Smulders Moving Forward With Wedding Plans

5/9/2012 10:59pm EDT
Cobie Smulders
The Avengers star Cobie Smulders has finally set a wedding date, more than three years after becoming engaged.

Smulders' comedian boyfriend Taran Killam proposed over the Christmas holidays in 2008 and the couple welcomed daughter Shaelyn Cado the following May.

The stars opted to concentrate on their role as parents before becoming husband and wife, with Smulders previously saying, "We're focused on the baby right now, and when we actually have a second (child), then we'll start thinking about that (getting married)."

And even though the actress may not be expecting, she reveals they ha...

Robert Downey Jr. Steals The Show At 'The Avengers' Premiere To Close Out Tribeca Film Fest

4/30/2012 12:30pm EDT
Robert Downey Jr
The closing weekend of the 11th annual Tribeca Film Festival went out with an epic bang worthy of superheroes. The Friday night premiere of Queen: Days of Our Lives was entertaining and funny (who knew drummers could be funny?). One of the best bits came when the band described how "Another One Bites the Dust" came about--Roger Taylor explains that John Deacon came up with the baseline; the band thought it was great and they all took a break by going out to pizza, only to find that he'd forgotten his part when they returned. But Taylor remembered!

The first part of the doc was especially ...

'The Avengers' Joss Whedon Does Marvel's Super Heroes Proud

4/30/2012 11:18am EDT
'The Avengers'
'The Avengers' written and directed by Joss Whedon (Cabin In The Woods) has not one, not two, but six super heroes, who, under the leadership of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of the international peacekeeping agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. come together to save the planet of course.

And thanks to the spot on direction of Mr. Whedon and his production team, they do it brilliantly. The film, shot in 3D, works on every level.

Not to spoil anything, here are the broad strokes.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) Thor's bro, who many of us met in the 2011 film entitled 'Thor', is still up to no good.

In the film, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers. Their mission? New 'HIMYM': Barney Makes Ted Take The Broath

3/20/2012 11:10am EDT
After a short break How I Met Your Mother returned last night with an all new episode written by the show’s co-creators, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. The last episode left us with Ted (Josh Radnor) in a transition. Robin (Cobie Smulders) told him that she didn’t love him, and as a result she moved out of the apartment above MacLaren’s. Ted, sensing that he needed a change too, gave the apartment back to Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and began looking for a new place.

Of course the other big storyline of the last few episodes was Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Quin...

'HIMYM': Ted And Robin Back Together?

2/21/2012 9:30am EST
Earlier in the season, older Ted (voiced by Bob Saget) alluded that a lot of changes were coming for him and the gang, but none of it could happen until the feelings were resolved between him, Barney, and Robin. Victoria told him that this thing the three of them were doing isn’t going to work. Before he could move forward, Ted had to go back to the beginning one more time.

At the end of last week’s episode he professed his love for Robin once again. “No pressure,” Ted says, “Just let me know what you think.” Before anything can really be hashed out, Robin is whisked away on a busine...

Celebrities That Turn 30 in 2012
It's hard to believe for many of us the 1982 was 30 years ago. In that year, Ronald Reagan was President, Joe Montana was the Superbowl XVI MVP and the space shuttle Columbia made its first mission.

In movies, E.T., Tootsie and Gandhi ruled the box office while Chariots of Fire took best picture at the Academy Awards that year. Also taking home Oscar gold for best actor and actress in 1982 respectively were Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda for On Golden Pond. In music Michael Jackson released Thriller which sold more than 25 million copies, becoming the biggest selling album in history.

New 'HIMYM': Is Barney Robin's Baby's Father?

12/7/2011 9:40am EST
At the end of last episode HIMYM fans were left with the shocker revelation that Robin was pregnant. With a rerun last Monday, it gave two weeks for the rumor mill to churn up gossip. I reported on my blog that the most reliable sources said that Barney was not the father, it was Kevin. Half of that rumor turned out to be true.

As we return to the moment right after Robin revealed she was pregnant, we find out that she is a week late, and doesn’t actually know for sure. Barney points out that it could be Kevin’s, right? However, Robin claims that she and Kevin aren’t sleeping togeth...

Top 5 'HIMYM' Shocker Endings

11/28/2011 11:38am EST
himym season 1
HIMYM fans are still coming down off of last week’s shocker ending, and with a rerun airing tonight (last year’s thanksgiving episode in most areas) I thought this was the perfect opportunity to reflect upon HIMYM’s best surprise endings. Here are my top 5.

5. Bachelor Party, Season 2 Episode 19.

Barney can often times be a nuisance, but every once in a while he shows how much his friends really mean to him. After Barney completely ruins Marshall’s bachelor party, Marshall asks whether Barney even wants the wedding to happen. Then Lily reveals that when she was out in San Francisco, it...

SPOILER ALERT! Bomb Dropped On New 'HIMYM'

11/22/2011 9:48am EST
cobie smulders
Monday’s new HIMYM, “The Rebound Girl,” began with Lily and Marshall preparing to once again host Thanksgiving dinner and ended with a huge revelation.

Marshall and Lily had recently been given Lily’s grandparents’ house on Long Island. They were now forced to decide to either sell it or move. Their original idea was to sell, but after spending some time in the house, their Manhattan apartment seemed a little cramped. They decide to host Thanksgiving out in Long Island and give everyone a chance to check out the place.

Meanwhile, a forlorn Ted and recently rejected Barney were bemo...
