Sarah Silverman has no plans to give birth because she doesn't want to risk passing on her depression to a son or daughter.

When I heard a while back Disney had acquired rights to Jim Henson’s Muppets, it didn’t really surprise me. These cats are pretty much trying to monopolize everything and anything (ask MARVEL if you don’t believe me.) It was only a matter of time before they put these puppets to work. Megan Fox took to the stage in New York on Monday night to mark her Broadway debut in The 24 Hour Plays.

The Transformers star was among a number of famous faces taking part in the charity theatre project, which gives a group of actors, writers and directors 24 hours to come up with a script and prepare it for the stage.

Colombian pop superstar Shakira is heading to Israel next week to highlight the importance of education for children across the world.

The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and Hips Don't Lie hit-maker has been invited to attend the Israeli Presidential Conference in Jerusalem, where she will be a featured speaker at the three-day Facing Tomorrow 2011 event.

Sarah Silverman has failed to save her self-titled comedy show from cancellation - TV bosses have reportedly axed the series after three seasons.

The Sarah Silverman Program, which earned the funny woman an Emmy Award nomination last year, was rumored to be faltering in 2009 after a series of budget cuts, but the star's sister Laura, who also appears in the series, pledged to save the show by launching a campaign on Twitter.com.

The star uses her shows to poke fun at people - but overweight ladies are off-limits to the funny woman.

Silverman refused to name names in her interview with Playboy magazine, but hinted that the "onetime lead singer of a very popular band from the 1980s" was Perry, joking, "I'll just say this: After that, I stopped believin'," which the rocker took as a reference to Journey hit "Don't Stop Believin.'"

Last week I caught Steve Buscemi's dark comedy "St. John of Las Vegas" which was slightly disappointing. While the right brand of humor was there; twisted laughs and awkward moments that inspire chuckles

, I felt that the film did not have much to say.

The overarching story seemed to be building up to some kind of life altering self-realization or dramatic event taking place in Las Vegas for Buscemi's character John Alighieri. This moment never really came, and as a result the entire film seemed very anti-climactic.
