Blonde beauty Carly Brook Schroeder is most known for being a child actress on soap opera "Port Charles." She was born on Oct. 18, 1990, in Valparaiso, Indiana, and got her start in print ads and commercials, modeling for companies such as Kmart, Land's End and Sears.
When she was 7 years old, Schroeder was cast as Serena Baldwin in the "General Hospital" spin-off, "Port Charles." She was nominated for several awards for the role. Next she starred in the Disney channel series "Lizzie McGuire." In 2000 she played Susan Olsen in the made-for-TV movie "Growing Up Brady."
Schroeder's first big-screen movie was the critically acclaimed "Mean Creek" in 2004. She subsequently appeared in "Firewall," "Eye of the Dolphin" and "Prey," before landing the lead role in 2007 soccer film "Gracie." The movie was inspired by a real-life death of Elisabeth and Andrew Shue's brother, and Schroeder trained for three months to prepare for it. Her brother co-starred in the film.
That same year, Schroeder received the Kids First Award for Best Emerging Actress. She went on to appear in "Prayers for Bobby," "Forget Me Not," and "Rites of Passage."
