Katey Sagal To Record New Album
Actress Katey Sagal is returning to her music roots to record her first album in eight years.
The Sons of Anarchy star is a former member of 1970s rock act The Group With No Name, and she performed backing vocals for big names like Bob Dylan, KISS bassist Gene Simmons and Bette Midler before landing her big acting break in hit sitcom Married... with Children.
Sagal, 58, has continued to dabble in music throughout the years, contributing songs to the soundtrack of her hit TV biker drama, but she's now laying down songs of her own for the follow up to her 2004 project Room.

Golden Globe Nominations: Snubs And Surprises
‘Tis the season… for Ricky Gervais to make nasty jokes and make Robert Downy Jr. blush…. Fa la la la la la la la la. That’s right, the Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning. There were a few surprises, a few snubs, and a few nominees that make you go, “Hmmmm”? Let’s break it down by Movie and TV categories.
Movies
Films like 'The Artist' and 'The Help' dominated, not surprisingly.
The most surprising inclusion here? ‘The Ides of March,’ which up ‘til now was considered an also-ran in awards season. But the film picked up nods for Best Drama, Best Director (George Clooney),...

'Futurama' Season Finale Advance Review: One Impressive 'Reincarnation'!
Can't wait for next week's Futurama season finale? Good news, everyone! I've got a sneak preview of it right here. If you don't mind some minor spoilers, step right this way...
Futurama has come up with some truly unique ideas over the years - the likes of Robot Santa, the head of former President Richard Nixon and Hypnotoad all spring to mind - but the season finale, entitled "Reincarnation," may be one of the most unique that the show has ever done. As the title implies, it presents us three vastly different versions of the Futurama that might have been: an old-time black-and-white...

Brittany's TCA 2011 Blog: 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'American Horror Story,' 'Rescue Me' And 'Always Sunny'
After spending some time with FOX, my TCA (Television Critics Association) blog comes to an end with a look at sister network FX, which brought to Beverly Hills four returning series and a new one. Not to mention one big moment that I may unfortunately never be able to get out of my brain.

Last time we talked about FX, I mentioned that I have a great deal of respect for network president John Landgraf. I was certainly happy to hear the announcement Saturday morning that Landgraf, who's been with FX for more than seven years, had renewed his contract for three more. He'...

These Foot-In-Mouth Stars Might Want To Stay Away From Twitter...
People follow celebrities on Twitter for entertainment. And, maybe to feel like they’re Facebook friends with the person. Often, celebrity tweets are as mundane as typical Facebook status updates, but some of them understand it’s a way to reach hundreds of thousands of people.
Unfortunately, some celebrities forget that too, and some of them say things they wish they could take back. Public figures have been humiliated, reprimanded and fired for things they’ve said on Twitter. So, we’ve decided to make a little list of celebrities who should think twice before tweeting anything ever ag...

And The Emmy Nominees Will Probably Be...
It’s time to predict this year’s Emmy nominees – never an easy task. Emmy voters are unpredictable; they tend to hold onto old favorites, but sometimes nominate newbies and throw in wild card nominees as well.
This was a good year for TV – particularly old favorites like ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Modern Family’ but also new fare like ‘Raising Hope’ and ‘Boardwalk Empire.’
Here are predictions for this year’s nominees in the major series categories. I likely won’t be right on the money, but if I can get four out of every six in each category, I’ll be happy. It can be a tough guessing game.

Katey Sagal is lending her full support to her ex-husband as he battles deadly prostate and bone cancer and is picking up the bill for his extensive medical treatments.
The "Sons of Anarchy" star was married to drummer Jack White for seven years before their divorce in 2000 and has two children, Jackson and Sarah, with the artist.
She has since gone on to start a family with her third husband, Kurt Sutter, but Sagal is doing all she can to help White through his health crisis as her teenage kids face a future without their dad.

Charlie Hunnam Calls 'Sons of Anarchy's' Gemma 'Psychotic'
It's not uncommon for fans to have harsh words for developments they dislike in the shows they love, but it's rare to hear scathing remarks from the actors. In a recent interview with my friend Fred Topel, Charlie Hunnam is not feeling the love for Sons of Anarchy.
While talking about his recent film The Ledge, the British actor was blunt about his feelings toward the FX motorcycle drama. "I think that he needs to assert himself and needs to control his psychotic mother who has no place trying to run a motorcycle club," he said. "If I was in charge of the writing, I would really, re...

Golden Globes: 'The Social Network Previals,' Gervais Sails
‘The Social Network’ was the big winner at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, with four awards – Best Drama, Best Director (David Fincher), Best Screenplay (Aaron Sorkin) and Best Score. 'The King’s Speech' – which led in nominations with seven – came away with just one win, for Best Drama Actor (Colin Firth).
‘The Kids Are All Right’ re-emerged in the Oscar race with two wins (Best Comedy – and how could it NOT win that given the competition?) and Best Comedy Actress for Annette Bening (ditto). And ‘The Fighter’ takes the lead in the supporting races, with Christian Bale and Melissa Leo ...

Triumphant Return For 'Futurama'
After a seven year hiatus, the animated comedy "Futurama" returned with new episodes on Comedy Central Thursday night.
Following the footsteps of "Family Guy," "Futurama" originally aired on Fox, was canceled, and was eventually revived due to increased popularity found after its demise. Two brand new episodes kicked off the sixth season premiere on Thursday.
The show, introduced by "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, follows slacker Fry (Billy West) who is cryogenically frozen in 1999 and thawed out a millennium later in "New" New York City. He lands a job at an interplanetary deli...

Enigmatic Final Scene Of 'LOST' Added By Network - Not Producers
The final scene shown during ABC's Sunday night broadcast of the "LOST" series finale was added to the show by the network - not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - according to a report on Entertainment Weekly.com.
The last images of Oceanic Flight 815 wreckage strewn across the beach with only the soothing sound of crashing waves in the distance quickly became one of the show's biggest mysteries.
But a spokesman for ABC told the L.A. Times, "The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not p...

Sprague Grayden is a pleasure to talk to about almost anything and everything, which it seems we did. She talked to us about her new role on Fox's "24" as well as previous shows like "Jericho," "Sons of Anarchy" and "Six Feet Under." We also discussed her love of sci-fi and Pez.

'Eli Stone' Recap: Lead Paint and a Magic Book
With the resolution of Eli's crisis of faith having already come (his reluctance to become a prophet was so last season), "Eli Stone" was in need of a larger story arc to keep the momentum going and provide viewers with a reason to tune in each week. Posner (Tom Amandes) and Klein's (Katey Sagal) attempt to wrest the firm from Jordan's (Victor Garber) control has provided just that. Not only does this week's episode continue to progress that story arc, but it also throws in a few more juicy tidbits from the future, especially one which rivals the Eli/Maggie baby flash-forward from season ...

Cable programming seems to have a trend other than sex going on. Yes, cable dramas are more violent and vulgar than anything that's found on the standard network lineup. However, cable also seem to love the dynamics that center on families.

Character Additions That Nearly Ruined A TV Show (Or Did)
It's been said that a TV show is only as good as the characters that occupy it. During the first season of series, the writers introduce us to certain main characters that the show is going to revolve around. Once a season ends and a new one is about to start all bets are off because the writers don't want to see the ratings drop.
Their solution? Bring in new characters.
Whether they were added in advance or brought on spontaneously, new characters are added in hopes of appealing to an even bigger audience and to increase a particular show's ratings. This doesn't always turn out ...
