LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tommy Gavin has issues with women. Or maybe it's the women on ''Rescue Me'' who have the issues. Let's break it down: Gavin, the alcoholic New York City firefighter played by Denis Leary, raped his estranged wife, Janet (Andrea Roth), but now they're living together and taking care of her baby - which might be his or his recently deceased brother's.

There will be "tons of fireworks this year" on Rescue Me, promises Andrea Roth, who plays Tommy Gavin's (Denis Leary) wife Janet on the hit FX show. The series just began its fourth season and promises to keep viewers hooked with its emotional and tense storylines.

The third season of Rescue Me kicks off Tuesday, May 30. The series revolves around the activities of a group of professional firefighters operating in a post-9/11 New York City. Denis Leary heads the cast as senior firefighter Tommy Gavin, who had allowed the pressures of his job to botch up his home life, separating him from his wife, Janet (Andrea Roth), and their children.

Susan Sarandon is set to raise temperatures on firefighter drama Rescue Me when she plays a rich socialite who attempts to seduce one of the show's regulars. The star will appear on the TV program for three episodes this summer.
