Shiva Rose Biography
Born Shiva Rose Gharibafshar, California native Shiva Rose has made a multitude of television and film appearances; her most notable roles include her starring part in Black_Days, which was featured at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2001, and in the HBO original film 61*, under the direction of show-business veteran Billy_Crystal. Rose was also lauded at the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, where she took home the award for Best Breakthrough Performance in an American Indie for her role as a refugee in exiled Kurdish director Jay_Jonroy's David & Layla. Her television credits include guest spots on the noted Lifetime series Gideon's_Crossing, ABC's law drama The_Practice, and the popular CSI: Miami. In addition to her acting, Rose regularly volunteers for various charitable philanthropic endeavors, and was asked to serve as a spokesperson for Amnesty International's refugee program.
