Fashion Fails: Kate Mara, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Idina Manzel, More

June 15th, 2014 3:05pm EDT
Kate Mara
It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

Kate Mara's dress is so rigid she looks like a Barbie doll posing in it. We've seen these shaped "bell" dresses before, and they look anything but comfortable. It doesn't help that it has all of that messy glitter all over it like she was a fake Christmas tree. Check out another look at Mara's fail and the rest from this past week below:

Fashion Fails: Miley Cyrus, Lisa Lampenelli, Melanie Brown, More

Miley Cyrus
It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

Miley Cyrus actually covered herself for once, but I don't love those odd sleeves. They look like giant suction cups, or maybe from an outfit in a Dr. Seuss book.

Lisa Lampanelli looks like she lost some weight, which is great, but she also shaved the side of her head. Perhaps it's part of her Miley Cyrus impression?

If there's anything worse than animal print, it's animal print in colors not seen in nature. The ugly resul...

Toronto Film Festival: Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, & More (Photos)

September 9th, 2013 11:00am EDT
Reese Witherspoon
The Toronoto International Film Festival (TIFF) has turned into a hot spot for celebrities over the last few years, and 2013 has been no exception.

We spotted several stars promoting their new films, including Reese Witherspoon who attended the "Devil's Knot" premiere over the weekend.

The actress, 36, looked sexy in a black and beige patterened dress that showed off a little cleavage. She's definitely back in shape after giving birth to her third child one year ago.

Witherspoon's new film is based on an Arkansas case in which three children were savagely murdered in 1993 and the three t...

The critically-acclaimed show, about two Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, was nominated for 14 prizes at the New York ceremony, which celebrates the best of Broadway.

Host Neil Patrick Harris opened the awards show at The Beacon Theatre with a comical song-and-dance number titled "It's Not Just For Gays Anymore," and Hugh Jackman, a previous Tony Awards host, later joined the actor onstage...

Review: 'For Colored Girls' Would Have Been Better Suited For The Small Screen

November 3rd, 2010 10:00am EDT
Four Colored Girls
A good movie either needs the big screen, the big budget, or big stars to be worthy of an audience as large as Tyler Perry's. “For Colored Girls” would make a wonderful first season of a cable (or TBS) drama.

Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" is one of those movies that follows interconnecting stories of people going through struggles. The domestically abused, the sexually assaulted, accidentally impregnated, the barren, and hopelessly devoted. Think “Valentines Day” with rape.

The movie is not unlike that of a, or, well, six lifetime films in that it's about women who don't need men. Or ...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Princess And The Frog,' 'Invictus' & More

December 7th, 2009 9:47am EST
Invictus
Last Tuesday I had the privilege of seeing Jason Reitman's "Up in the Air" and I have to say, it's a brilliant film. Much like he does in "Thank You for Smoking," Reitman takes a character that has the potential to be very unlikable and makes him sympathetic to the audience.

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) is a man whose career involves laying people off around the country, which is a sensitive subject in America given the current economic state. Reitman exercises great care with Bingham, showing us that the man isn't coldhearted. Bingham inspires those he lays off to find new careers ...

The holidays are approaching, and if people are not busy running around thinking of Christmas or Hanukkah gifts, they're considering what to do with their family when they actually have to entertain everyone.

Every year there are big blockbuster films that come out around Thanksgiving and Christmas purposely devoted to people looking to enjoy time with their families, or to escape from them for a few blissful hours.

Here's a look at some of the movies coming out for the holiday season:

TV Honorees That Should Get Their First Shot At Emmy Nominations

June 10th, 2009 12:02pm EDT
Aaron Paul
Yesterday, we went over the Emmy nominees who have overstayed their welcome. Those perennial TV honorees that simply don't deserve the recognition they once did or, in some cases, never did at all.

So if they're out, who's in? Surely, there can't be too many nominees waiting in the wings. After all, television professionals choose these awards; they can't possibly leave out any substantial number of qualified candidates in favor of perennial duds.

Unfortunately, that's the way it is. Voters simply don't like to change their ways with regards to voting. It almost seems that a ...
