Born: June 29, 1977

British-born actress Zuleikha Robinson spent her childhood in Thailand and Malaysia before moving to Los Angeles in her late adolescence to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. A short time later, she was cast in the cult-hit X-Files spin-off The_Lone_Gumman before appearing in the adventure drama Hidalgo. In 2005, Robinson played Jessica in the +Merchant of Venice adaptation starring Al_Pacino, Jeremy_Irons, and Joseph_Fiennes, followed by a role in the next year's indie hit The_Namesake, playing Moushumi, lead character Gogol Ganguli's eventual Bengali wife. Then in 2007, Robinson was cast as the treacherous brothel supervisor and slave Gaia during the second season of the HBO/BBC series Rome. In 2008, she co-starred on the Fox series New_Amsterdam as police detective Eva Marquez, the partner of immortal main character John Amsterdam. Cammila Albertson, Rovi
