The Best & Worst Dressed At The BAFTAs
The Royal Opera House in London hosted the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs) on Sunday, and lots of celebrities brought their best (and worst) to the red carpet.

Australian-born Cate Blanchett, who won a Best Actress trophy for "Blue Jasmine," looked elegant in a black Alexander McQueen gown with a silver floral print. Her Chopard necklace featured three intertwining birds.

She dedicated her award to her late friend and actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Blanchett held back tears as she told the audience, "Phil buddy, this is for you. I hope you're proud."

Two Jews' Review 'Anonymous' And Battle Over This Political Thriller (Video)

October 25th, 2011 11:00am EDT
Anonymous
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin-Schwartz: Yes 'Anonymous' is a political thriller, but it's one that is set in the past, 400 years ago to be precise.

The film, directed by Roland Emmerich and written by John Orloff (took him 15 drafts to get it right) supports the premise that Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford, (Rhys Ifans)a prominent aristocrat, was the real author of the works attributed to William Shakespeare. Sounds dull? Believe me, it's anything but.

Whether you agree with the premise or not, 'Anonymous' is an exciting, sexy, suspenseful, exquisitely acted and intriguing fi...

'Nip/Tuck' Finale Gives Fans Closure

March 4th, 2010 11:24am EST
Nip/Tuck Finale
The controversial and critically acclaimed television show Nip/Tuck ran its final episode on FX Wednesday night, leaving fans feeling bittersweet about the show’s demise. Although most Nip/Tuck viewers will truly miss the series, even the die-hard fan can sense that the storylines had nowhere else to go and now was as good a time as any to send these plastic surgeons off into retirement.

As Nip/Tuck ended with its final chapter of love, lust, and vanity on Wednesday night, there weren’t any earth shattering announcements, over the top surgeries, or that typical Nip/Tuck shock value in this...

'Nip/Tuck' Season Seven Hints

May 19th, 2009 11:05am EDT
Nip-Tuck
While Ryan Murphy was promoting the preview of his new show Glee, I slipped in some Nip/Tuck questions. The last episode left us with Christian married to Liz, but finding out his cancer scare was a clerical error, so he could have been free to manipulate and emotionally abuse superficial women this whole time.

"I will tell you, he goes through a horrifying divorce," Murphy said. "People love those characters. They're so good together so that we kind of have a whole season based on their [dynamic]. The whole season doesn't revolve around it, but it does involve, to a high degree, in th...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Allegra Caldarello

February 25th, 2009 2:09pm EST
Nip-Tuck
As "Nip/Tuck" nears the end of its season, loose ends are beginning to come together as the characters are seemingly preparing for Christian's (Julian McMahon) death. But as we all know you can't have "Nip/Tuck" without Christian.

Liz's mother comes to visit to help with wedding preparations and to talk to Christian. She asks him if he's gay, still surprised that her daughter is getting married to a man, and not just any man, a man that "still has his looks."

Liz's mother brings her old wedding dress along and expects Liz (Roma Maffia) to wear it since it's been passed down ...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Budi Sabri

February 18th, 2009 9:46am EST
Nip-Tuck
"Nip/Tuck" took an emotional turn in the latest episode, a change from the usual style of the show. A patient covered in warts (resembling tree bark) waits to heal and regain mobility after receiving multiple surgeries. Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) worked to remove all of the warts covering the patient's entire body pro bono.

Kimber (Kelly Carlson) brings Jenna into the office to have Christian plump her lips again, but he refuses. However, in the process, Kimber spills to Sean that Christian was the one who injected Jenna's lips with collagen the frist time.

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Breast Removal, Beyonce Butt & More

January 28th, 2009 1:05pm EST
Nip/Tuck
The latest episode of "Nip/Tuck," loaded with guest stars, stirs up some controversy from the past and continues to take a turn toward the unusual.

Jennifer Coolidge returns as Hot Coco (formerly known as Candy Richards), a female white rapper who decides she is really an African American, and asks for plastic surgery to obtain a "Beyonce ass." Coco requests that her demo song "Yo Stink" be played during her surgery (the music video that follows is beyond ridiculous).

After having sex with Christian (Julian McMahon), Liz (Roma Maffia) is still questioning her sexuality and...

'Nip/Tuck' Episode 16: Gene Shelly

January 14th, 2009 10:43am EST
Nip-Tuck
"Nip/Tuck" continues to bring the unexpected as Christian (Julian McMahon) and Sean (Dylan Walsh) deal with their own imperfections and insecurities in unique ways.

Christian's chemotherapy treatments are beginning to catch up to him as he spends the majority of the episode throwing up. He continues his normal surgery routine, but begins to rely heavily on Liz (Roma Maffia) for support.

Kimber (Kelly Carlson) makes an appearance in the episode when she brings her daughter, Jenna, over for Matt to baby sit as scheduled. However, she's a day early and ends up paying Wilbur's nanny ...

'Nip/Tuck' Recap: Stab Wounds, Memory Loss & More

January 7th, 2009 10:25am EST
Nip-Tuck
Well, the writers of FX's "Nip/Tuck" have done it again - they've created more pure genius. Multiple stab wounds? Memory loss? Cancer? With the continuation of Season Five just beginning, I can only imagine what the writers have in store for us for the remaining episodes.

The episode began by recapping the stabbing of Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) by his crazed former talent agent Colleen Rose (Sharon Gless). One can only begin to wonder how Sean managed to survive the multiple stab wounds, not to mention the extreme blood loss portrayed … but I guess this is why it's TV!

nip-tuck
Pack up your suitcases, but leave the baggage behind - it's time to move from Miami to L.A., and that means a fresh start on season five of "nip/tuck."

Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) are enjoying their plush new office in the mecca of America's plastic surgery capital, but the only consultations they are booking are each other.

After boundless free time and a visit from the repo man, the boys decide to leave their Rodeo Drive office and search for some potential clientèle. Nevertheless, even this doesn't turn out conventionally for the presumptuo...

Joely Richardson Fears Another Marriage

January 31st, 2006 9:22am EST
Joely Richardson
Joely Richardson admits she has turned down a number of marriage proposals - because she's too scared to tie the knot again after her painful divorce. The stunning 'Nip/Tuck' actress says she would rather have a baby with a lover than walk down the aisle with him. Richardson - who has a teenage daughter from her marriage to 'Bridget Jones' producer Tim Bevan - insists she has no desire to wed following their divorce nine years ago.

The 41-year-old told You magazine: "I haven't wanted to get married again. I just haven't been ready for it - maybe once is enough.
