The actress Judy Reyes is best known as Carla Espinosa on the NBC hit "Scrubs." Judy was born on November 5, 1968, in Bronx, New York. She attended Hunter College where she first became interested in acting. She has had guest starring roles in HBO's "the Sopranos" and "Oz."
After nearly a decade of appearing in guest roles on everything from The Cosby Mysteries to The Sopranos, and after a recurring role on the prison drama Oz, Bronx-born Judy Reyes gained prominence in 2001 when she was cast as the feisty Nurse Carla Espinosa on NBC's medical comedy Scrubs.
