October 29th, 2013 1:28pm EDT
Noomi Rapace
Swedish actress Noomi Rapace is set to play seven roles in What Happened to Monday?.

The 33-year-old star has signed up for multiple parts in Tommy Wirkola's indie sci-fi drama after being cast as the septuplet sisters.

The film follows the siblings as they struggle to stay hidden in an overpopulated world as the one-child law applies, but along the way they are forced to stop squabbling in order to avoid government execution and find their missing sister.

Wirkola told Variety: "Although the role was originally written for a male, I was struck by the complexities of having an actor portr...

Noomi Rapace
Swedish actress Noomi Rapace has gone topless for eye-catching scenes in The Rolling Stones' new music video.

The Prometheus star appears in the promo for the band's latest single, Doom & Gloom, and is seen being chased by zombies in one unsettling scenario.

She also strips off to just her underpants, a leather jacket and a pink wig, flashing her bare breasts to motorists as she dances by the side of a road. In another saucy scene, Rapace writhes semi-naked on a bed covered in bank notes, before setting fire to the money.

The video was filmed in Paris, France while the veteran rockers...

Review: 'Prometheus' - A Film You'll Remember Long After The Credits Roll

June 4th, 2012 7:04pm EDT
Prometheus
What if you had the chance to meet the people who created you? And by you I mean the human race. Could you resist such an opportunity?

Two brilliant scientists, the intense, religious Dr. Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and the very unspiritual Dr. Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) certainly can't. Not after they discover a series of cave paintings that turn out to be a star map, left by several ancient Earth civilizations that points to the same location in distant space.

They believe that they found the planet that is home to the engineers of the human race. And Shaw and Holloway are determined to p...

Trailer Talk: Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Could Be This Summer's Next Big Blockbuster & More

June 4th, 2012 1:02pm EDT
Prometheus
Arriving in theaters this week are Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sci-fi vehicle “Prometheus,” the silly computer animated sequel “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” the coming-of-age comedy “Lola Versus,” the indie time travel comedy “Safety Not Guaranteed,” the period piece drama “Bel Ami,” the family relationship dramedy “Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding,” and Todd Solondz’s drama “Dark Horse.”

Unfortunately my pick from last week, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” was plagued by bad acting, lackluster action scenes, and farfetched concepts even for a fairy tale. Not only was it diff...

May 28th, 2012 9:30pm EDT
Noomi Rapace
Swedish actress Noomi Rapace was so serious about accurately portraying a busty blonde in her new movie, she met with doctors to discuss having breast implants for the role.

The method actor famously worked out and got piercings to fully transform into Lisbeth Salander in the original movie adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and even considered having the character's body art permanently tattooed to her skin.

And the star admits she thought about going even further for a sexy new role - by going under the knife so her curves looked real on the big screen.

She tells Britain's ...

New 'Prometheus' Trailer Reveals The Aliens

April 30th, 2012 5:07pm EDT
Prometheus
A new extended trailer has been released for Prometheus, and it has revealed the aliens the crew face when they touch down on an unnamed planet.

Part of the reveal is the reason why these astronauts landed on the planet; it appears a pictogram has been discovered at numerous locations that is actually a star map... or an invitation. The data on the planet could lead humanity to the story of its origins.

The crew comes into contact with a cobra-like appendage that fells one of the scientists. It's then that they realize they could have found something that could end their existence.

If ...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,' 'Carnage,' & More

December 12th, 2011 11:00am EST
Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
Sadly, I haven’t caught last week’s pick yet: “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” However I did have the misfortune of watching the David Gordon Green comedy “The Sitter,” which turned out to be a complete dud. If you haven’t already read my review, give it a look to find out why I think Jonah Hill deserves better.

Arriving in theaters this week are the Guy Ritchie sequel “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” the Roman Polanski parental dramedy “Carnage,” the third Chipmunks adventure “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked,” and the Roger Corman themed documentary “Corman’s World: Exploits of a...

Rachel McAdams
Rachel McAdams looked beautiful at the "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" Los Angeles premiere last night. She bared her back in a floor-length silver dress with a train.

The actress swept her hair back and wore minimal jewelry - diamond studs and a diamond pinky ring.

In the film, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) matches wits with the nefarious Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) after uncovering a diabolical plot to destabilize the entire Western world. The film also features Jude Law, Eddie Marsan and Noomi Rapace (2009's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.")
