'24: Live Another Day': Mary Lynn Rajskub Looks Back On Jack's R
When Jack Bauer came in from the cold with 24: Live Another Day, it was one of the most exciting TV events of the season. Now that the "day" is done and the miniseries is out on Blu-Ray and DVD, we sat down with the awesome Mary Lynn Rajskub - who plays Jack's right-hand woman Chloe O'Brian - to look back on Live Another Day, including whether or not it will lead to more 24 and the ending that didn't happen.

[SPOILER ALERT - The end of this interview contains discussion of the ending of 24: Live Another Day. If you haven't seen the miniseries and don't want to be spoiled, avoid reading pas...

'24: Live Another Day' Recap And Review: '7:00 PM - 8:00 PM' - V
At the end of last Monday's episode, 24: Live Another Day revealed a very 24 twist when it blew up a major character, if not plotwise, then certainly in title. It's not so surprising, then, that the show now makes another very 24 move and follows that up with a "Well, not exactly..."

This week's action begins with everyone at the embassy watching news coverage of the blast that they all now know killed President Heller. The Prime Minister (hey, Stephen Fry still works here!) tries to comfort Audrey, before Caroline (Miranda Raison still works here too) questions whether or not Margot will ...

The 10th Anniversary Of '24'

November 6th, 2011 3:17pm EST
24
How time flies: 10 years ago today, 24 premiered on FOX, and television - not to mention pop culture and the world - was never the same.

The action-drama series, created by La Femme Nikita bosses Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, and starring Kiefer Sutherland as now-famous government agent Jack Bauer, was a groundbreaking piece of entertainment. It introduced the idea of a television series in real time (each episode was an hour in a day) and employed a distinctive visual style that included the widespread use of "boxes" to provide simultaneous glimpses at multiple storylines. In concept ...

Q&A: 'How To Be A Gentleman' Star Mary Lynn Rajskub

August 26th, 2011 8:00am EDT
Mary Lynn Rajskub
Mary Lynn Rajskub has gone from hilarious comedienne to a cult favorite actress. You may have spotted her making people laugh in series like The Larry Sanders Show and Mr. Show. Or you may have seen her helping save the day as computer expert Chloe O'Brian on 24. Now she has a regular role on CBS' new sitcom How To Be A Gentleman. Rajskub plays Janet, the "bossy sister" of struggling advice columnist Andrew (David Hornsby). She dropped by recently to chat about her return to comedy and her long history of making us laugh.

I'm sure everyone says "I loved you on 24," but I'm going to go ...

TV On DVD: 'Royal Pains: Season 2'

June 2nd, 2011 4:00pm EDT
Royal Pains
Universal Studios Home Entertainment recently released the sophomore season of USA's Royal Pains on DVD (just in time for the premiere of season three, of course!) The four-disc set contains all eighteen episodes from season two plus a handful of bonus features. Here's my review.

The Show

I checked out Royal Pains when it first premiered, and it was the first USA original series that didn't catch on with me. It wasn't necessarily bad, but not a strong enough show to grab my attention. Digging into season two, that's still the case. It's not a misfire, just not my cup of tea. (I kn...

In Memory Of '24'

24 Series Finale
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to remember ’24,’ the television program which showed us that torture is sometimes necessary, that evil is rarely absolute, and that government agencies are infiltrated with alarming regularity.

To see the program now, it’s hard to imagine that the whole thing started with a gimmick. The initial marketing campaign for ‘24’ focused mainly on one thing: The show would occur in real time. An hour long episode would actually cover one hour of the characters’ lives. Given the subject matter, the possibilities were endless: Terrorist deadlines and ultim...

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Recap: The Gang Gives Frank An Intervention

October 9th, 2009 12:45pm EDT
It
Against all odds, Sunny managed to get through four whole seasons with no interventions (unless you count Charlie's molestation intervention), but last night it finally happened. The gang intervened all over Frank.

Everyone knew that Frank's behavior had gotten progressively crazier over the years, but when he got drunk (on boxed wine that he brilliantly poured into a soda can for easier drinking) and took the gang to a "party" that actually turned out to be his brother-in-law's funeral, they knew that something had to be done.

Proving that he was even more messed up than the gang or...

TVGuide.com reports that the President on next season's revamped 24 will likely be a woman. Sources confirm that casting could begin any day now. A show rep, however, cautions that, "Nothing about next season has been absolutely decided as of yet."

Coincidentally, "24's" female president would be in office just as Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House kicks into high gear. The show is also adding a female FBI agent to the mix. As previously reported on TVGuide.com, "24" — in an effort to reclaim some of the creative and ratings steam it lost last season — is shaking things up in...
