5 Underappreciated TV Actors: Where Are They Now?
In December, I gave you my list of five TV actors deserving of more notice this year. With 2013 more than a quarter of the way over, it's time to check the results. Where are these talented folks now? Did they get the extra attention they should have? And who else is poised to reach the next level?
1. Michael Trucco

Why He Made The List: He was the MVP of Fairly Legal. While Sarah Shahi was deservedly center stage in the USA original series as mediator Kate Reed, he was her perfect foil as Kate's ex-husband and frequent...

Maggie Q Gets Naked For PETA, Asks People To 'Go Veg' (Photo)
"Nikita" star Maggie Q has stripped for a cause close to her heart. The actress reveals all in a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaign poster aimed at convincing people to eliminate meat products from their diet.
The edgy new PETA billboard reads, "Fight Climate Change With Diet Change. Go Veg" and features the vegan actress naked with her body painted like planet earth.
The poster debuted above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on Thursday and will remain there for one month.
Maggie Q told WENN, "There's so many issues tied to the meat industry. I mean, social, e...

'Nikita' Recap: '3.0' (Season 3 Premiere)
For the second year in a row, Nikita starts its season in a completely different place than it began the one before. Nikita has achieved her goal of taking down the unscrupulous assassin factory Division - but what happens to both the characters and the series itself after she's reached the objective the show was built on?
'3.0' - not to be confused with the second episode of the first season, '2.0' - opens in Hong Kong, where two guys are having one of those Secret Meetings In A Park that ends with one of them poisoning the other one. The murderer is on new Division boss Ryan Fl...

'Nikita: The Complete Second Season' Blu-Ray Review
As audiences prepare for the third season of The CW's Nikita, Warner Home Video has released Nikita: The Complete Second Season on DVD and Blu-Ray. Look no further for an examination of the four-disc Blu-Ray edition.
The second season of Nikita itself was a mixed bag. After a surprising and incredibly strong first run, the show took some major leaps and bounds with season two, some of which worked and some of which didn't. To the delight of the fans, an emphasis was placed on the evolving relationship between Nikita (Maggie Q) and Michael (Shane West), and the actors were strong thro...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Wrath' Claims A Significant Character
This week's Nikita takes us to Norway, where Percy and Roan are visiting a CIA "black site" in order to visit one nasty prisoner: Nicholas Brandt (Rick Ravanello). After having Nikita capture Brandt five years earlier, Percy is ready to set him free and sic him on her now. Yes, it's another case of history coming back into the present - the theme that's run through the entire second season.
After the last revelatory episode, everyone thinks it's going to be smooth sailing, but if it was, that would be a terribly uninteresting show. "It's like you guys need some kind of life and d...

'Nikita' Recap: Amanda and Ari Make A Play For 'Power'
Last week, Nikita finally bumped off the much-maligned Sergei Semak, so it's no surprise that this week, Amanda and Ari (Peter Outerbridge) move to fill the void.
Action begins outside a DARPA research facility, where an unfortunate staffer ends up shot dead after swiping a nasty-looking device for an enigmatic woman. Michael explains to Birkhoff (and the audience) that the device synthesizes a rare isotope and allegedly "represents the future of clean energy." Nikita recognizes the shooter as a Division agent. It's up to the team to find her and retrieve the device.

'Nikita' Recap: 'Arising' Brings A Death And Two Departures
This week's Nikita marks the third appearance of my least favorite character: foreign dignitary/Michael's baby mama/MI6 agent/Gogol mole Cassandra (Helena Mattsson). Unlike the first two, though, this one's pretty good.
The episode opens in London, where Cassandra is meeting Ari (Peter Outerbridge). He's handing her a new assignment that seems to momentarily throw her. Alex clues Michael and Nikita into the fact that Cassandra is a mole, causing Michael to blow a gasket. He breaks stuff and then decides to get his son back. (Wouldn't Shane West be awesome if he was in a movie like...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Doublecross' (2.16)
After a month of reruns, we finally get three new episodes of Nikita. This one's packed full of action, if not necessarily big surprises, although there is one unpleasant one in the final minutes.
Division has seen four agents killed in three days, which has made Amanda very unhappy, and the lower-level agents disgruntled. Michael and Birkhoff bring this information to Nikita, with Michael insistent that the targeted agents were members of a task force Percy had him assemble to deal with Gogol. "Not again with the rescuing and the saving of the enemy!" Birkhoff protests, but Nikita ...

Maggie Q To Play Animated Wonder Woman
Maggie Q is set to become the latest actress to play Wonder Woman after signing on for a new animated TV series.
The actress will make her debut as the superheroine in Cartoon Network series "Young Justice" on March 24, according to TVGuide.com.
Maggie Q insists she was born to play Wonder Woman: "In my head I am her. No stretch there. When I was a kid, I used to dress up as her. I couldn't afford a costume, so I would make her headband, wristbands and the lasso out of paper and tape it to myself, and run around, climb up roofs and try to jump off them."

'Nikita' Recap: 'Origin' (2.15)
Picking up where last week's episode left off, we further probe Nikita's backstory and that of Division in this week's Nikita. There's a lot going on in both past and present...
We start in 1998, when Division is just an old missile silo with Percy giving Carla (Erica Gimpel) a tour of the place like a bad realtor. Yet we're only there for about thirty seconds before we go back to the present day, where Nikita tells Carla "I only survived because of my memories of you. And now all of my memories are a lie." Ouch. Carla says that Division was a good idea until Amanda "corrupted" it.

'Nikita' Recap: 'Rogue' (2.14)
The theme of this season of Nikita seems to be everyone's past crawling out of the woodwork (see: Alex's mom, Michael's son), so it's not surprising that this week we meet Nikita's mentor.
Things start in New Jersey, where Percy is having Roan off a Newark detective in an alley in the middle of the night, because that's where these things happen. The next morning, Nikita and Michael (who appears to have gotten a haircut since Percy's dig about his looks last week) are sparring, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Alex. 'Nikita' Recap: 'Clean Sweep' (2.13)
Nikita is back this week, and "Clean Sweep" was an episode worth the wait, because the show looks considerably different now.
Picking up where "Sanctuary" left off, Team Nikita overhears the conversation between Amanda and Patrick Miller (Patrick deVry), and makes their own plan to intervene. "It's about saving lives," says Michael to an incredulous Birkhoff. Convincing the group that he's needed, Sean teams with Nikita and Michael to rescue his mom (and the other members of Oversight) from the Guardians.
This puts them on a collision course with Percy, who is finally freed from hi...

Q&A: Interrogating 'Nikita' Star Xander Berkeley
On Nikita, Xander Berkeley is calling the shots - but off-screen, I got him to answer a few of my questions about season two!
When we left the series, Xander's character Percy revealed his master plan for regaining control of Division: either he got his power back or his Guardians would execute the members of Oversight. After a brief hiatus, tonight we'll get to find out whether or not the devilish (literally and metaphorically!) man in the prison box succeeds.
Unlike his alter ego, Berkeley is an incredibly nice guy. He is also one of the best character actors of his generation. He's g...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Sanctuary' (2.12)
This week's Nikita sees the band back together again, and they play well enough, but the greatest hits are yet to come.
Team Nikita is reunited, but it's not smooth sailing. Birkhoff tells Nikita that Alex (whom he refers to as "Occupy Beach House") tried to swipe his pain meds. Alex and Nikita again talk about what we learned last week - that Alex's mother was having an affair with Sergei Semak. Nikita tells Alex about Carla (whom we now know will be played by Erica Gimpel), who helped her before she ended up in prison.

Maggie Q Breaks Fingers
"Nikita" star Maggie Q is recovering after breaking two fingers on her left hand.
The all-action actress split open her knuckle last month after falling from a ladder and she has only just had the bandaging removed.
She tells news show Access Hollywood Live, "The knuckle was split open completely... My splints just came off last week."

'Nikita' Recap: 'Guardians' (2.10)
Last season's Nikita midseason finale was a stunner. This season's feels like an unfinished work - but hold on for the final few minutes, because those open up a world of possibilities.
We open in France, where there's a late-night raid, which includes Owen (Devon Sawa, last seen in "Falling Ash"). He and his strike team come up empty-handed, which does not please Ari. He wants the remaining black boxes found and destroyed yesterday or nasty things will happen.
Owen goes home to find Nikita hiding out in his place, wanting his help to recover another black box. They chat about Per...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Fair Trade' (2.09)
Nikita went into a tailspin last week, largely because it jettisoned much of what made it a good show. Put the pieces back together, and the show gets good again. Who'd have thought?
"My boss doesn't need caffeine, she's high on life," Birkhoff tells a pretty girl named Allison - who happens to be Senator Madeline Pierce's aide - in a coffee shop, as he's putting a tracker in the Senator's coffee. Will Traveler would approve.
Nikita's hoping to get the drop on the remaining members of Oversight by crashing the emergency meeting they've called to discuss her. Division knows she's...

'Nikita' Recap: 'London Calling' (2.08)
In this week's Nikita, Michael heads to London to see Cassandra and Max - and unsurprisingly, the trip ends up being anything but a pleasant father and child reunion. It's painful for everyone, including the audience.
In the most awkward and yet least dramatic teaser in the history of this series, Cassandra (Helena Mattsson)'s got a new man in her life, which makes Michael wonder who's hanging around his kid, and she has to be pleaded with to let him see Max at all. Surprisingly, Michael isn't angry with her, but he's certainly ticked off with the two guys that have been following ...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Clawback' (2.07)
It took seven weeks, but Nikita finally hit its mark this week with an episode that put the screws to nearly every major character. Now will it be the start of something?
Ryan Fletcher (Noah Bean, if you forgot) cannot catch a break. The ex-CIA agent is now in prison, but the suspicious death of a pharmaceutical company employee makes him call Nikita (via his mom, no less). He's cracked a Division operation known as "Grey Rain." Unfortunately for Ryan, Amanda has intercepted the call and has sent Roan (Rob Stewart) to take care of him.

'Nikita' Recap: 'Looking Glass' (2.05)
This week's Nikita is a high and a low. Shane West can still turn in a performance like nobody's business - even if it's in another formulaic episode filled with plot concerns.
Apparently Michael shares my affinity for pina coladas. I approve. But wait, who's this blonde woman he's with? That's Cassandra Ovechkin (Helena Mattsson). Relax, kids - this was six years ago. And she's the First Lady of Belarus, and up until two seconds ago she thought that he was a cultural attache named Jonathan she was bedding, not an agent there to kill her husband.

Q&A: 'Nikita's' Shane West Talks Season 2
The show may be called Nikita, but it's Shane West, as the title character's partner Michael, who is the backbone of the series.
Nothing against Maggie Q, but Shane's doing a lot of heavy lifting. In just over a full season, Michael has been Nikita's trainer, ally, one-time possible love interest, enemy, ally again, and now her current love interest. We've seen how he lost his wife and daughter, left his longtime post as right-hand man at Division after finding out that boss Percy was behind their deaths, and now he's ditched the concrete walls of the secret agency for a life on t...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Partners' (2.04)
This week's Nikita continues to dig up the past - but this week it has a specific name and a face, and a whole lot of festering anger.
We're in Turkey this week, and Kelly (Katheryn Winnick) is trying to make a quick escape. When that doesn't go as planned, she starts shooting and steals a getaway van. Yay for generic white vans.
This big, loud escape brings her to the attention of Amanda at Division, who decides to send a cleaning team - and Alex, because Kelly happens to be Nikita's former partner, presumed killed in action on the operation during which Nikita escaped Division. ...

'Nikita' Recap: 'Knightfall' (2.03)
As a disabled person, I was pretty happy that we were represented in this week's Nikita. Unfortunately, the handicapped dude's a villain. Tough break - but regardless, "Knightfall" is still a pretty good episode.
In Quebec City, a mysterious figure on a motorcycle assassinates the Energy Minister. He's not mysterious for long: his name is Ramon (Simon Kassianides from the last James Bond film, Quantum of Solace), and his face is familiar to Michael and Nikita. She captured him six years ago, and now they find out that Division's decided to keep him on the payroll instead. Needless t...

'Nikita' 2.02 'Falling Ash' Recap and Review
Nikita spent a little too much time laying out the changes in its game last week. Thankfully, this week it has the return of Owen (Devon Sawa) to give it a shot in the arm.
We begin the episode in - of all places - Connecticut, where there's an awkward conversation between a guy and his father, before a mysterious man drops off an unmarked package at the window of the guy's ice cream truck. It's got a gun in it, and the resulting phone call brainwashes the poor sap into using that weapon to trying to kill a Senator. His father is not too happy when he's cut down by the security det...

Q&A: Devon Sawa Returns To 'Nikita'
You can't keep Nikita's Owen down - and the fans are certainly glad for that. Devon Sawa's ex-Guardian has been so popular that tonight marks his fifth appearance on The CW's hit spy series. Before "Falling Ash" airs tonight, Devon came by to chat with me about Owen's popularity and what's ahead for his character.
(You can also check out our previous interview from season one.)

'Nikita' 2.01 'Game Change' Recap and Review
Nikita is back, and I've got a boatload of questions. What does the show's future look like after those drastic changes in the first season finale? Will it continue to break the stereotype we expect when we hear the phrase "The CW"? Can I make a Standoff reference somewhere in here?
Maybe, possibly, and I just did.
Ominous music swells as Nikita walks into a dimly lit store and asks for haggis, which turns out to be the password that gets her into an underground casino. Looking fabulous as ever, she throws a lucky seven for a guy who flirts with her. She tells him that she and her b...

Maggie Q Suffered 'Boob Burns' On 'Nikita' Set
Actress Maggie Q was left with swollen breasts recently after accidentally shooting herself in the chest while filming an all-action sequence for her TV show Nikita.
The Live Free or Die Hard star, who plays an assassin in the program, admits she suffered from "boob burns" when a scene with a prop gun went awry.
She tells People magazine, "I was filming a scene for Nikita a few days ago where I was shooting a gun. The bullets shot out to the right and one went into my bra, and I got boob burns."
But she managed to find an upside to her injury: "My boobs were so swollen I went up a cup si...

Katheryn Winnick To Face-Off Against Maggie Q On 'Nikita'
Bones alum Katheryn Winnick is jumping over to the CW to guest star on Nikita.
You might have cringed seeing Hannah cozy up to Booth on Bones, but maybe you'll like her better on Nikita.
Katheryn Winnick will be running from the law as a guest star on the CW's popular show Nikita.
Like every other character on Nikita, Katheryn Winnick's character, Kelly, will have past with Division.
Kelly and Nikita were partners at one time, but something went horribly wrong and Kelly got the short end of the stick -- aka, ending up in a Turkish prison.
Fireworks are bound to happen when these two...
