Former supermodel Tyra Banks hit the red carpet in a bright pink strapless dress, while Claire Danes opted for a red leather looking slip dress.

Tilda Swinton looked spooky in an all-white suit, while Cicely Tyson stood out in a purple gown.

'Parks And Recreation' Film Three Different Finales

3/7/2012 11:33am EST
Parks and Recreation
The stars of hit TV show Parks And Recreation filmed three versions of the season four finale to make sure fans don't find out the ending.

Filming on the fourth series of the comedy, which stars Amy Poehler as a mid-level bureaucrat, recently came to an end and the producers went to great lengths to keep the storyline under wraps.

The series will finish with Poehler's character facing an election, and co-creator Michael Schur has now revealed the outcome was filmed three times and could change at the last minute.

He tells The Hollywood Reporter, "We shot actually three different endin...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'Bowling For Votes' Recap

1/27/2012 3:46pm EST
Bowling for Votes
This week’s episode of Parks and Recreation brought to mind an interview I read recently with Chris Onstad, the writer-artist behind Achewood, a popular web comic about cats who make fun of The Cure. After nine years of churning out content for Achewood—comics, blog posts, books, t-shirts, mugs—Onstad’s output started to trickle until, suddenly, it stopped. To put it mildly, his fans freaked out. The reason why he stopped doesn’t really matter in this context, but in the interview, Onstad touches on how the small amount of negative feedback he received negated much of the wild praise that h...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'Campaign Ad' Recap

1/20/2012 3:03pm EST
Campaign Ad
I can’t think of another show with actors as skilled at playing stupid as some of the ones on Parks and Recreation. Be it the insane, witless ramblings of the Pawnee general public or Andy’s never-ending parade of catastrophic accidents, it really makes you wonder if Leslie and co. should look into the content of Pawnee’s water supply. Tonight, we meet perhaps the most delightfully dumb specimen to ever cross paths with the Parks department: city council candidate and heir to the Sweetums candy fortune Bobby Newport, played by the wonderful Paul Rudd.

For all of the hubbub around Leslie’s ...

2012 Golden Globes Fashion: Who Rocked The Red Carpet & Who Didn't?

1/16/2012 9:30am EST
2012 Golden Globes fashion
The Golden Globes are the first big awards show of the season, and the stars came out in colorful ensembles to attend one of Hollywood's most prestigious events leading up to the Academy Awards.

There were very few fashion missteps at this year's event. "Homeland" actress Morena Baccarin wore a daring black dress that showed quite a bit of cleavage (is that appropriate?), while "Ringer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar took a chance with a blue and white tie-dyed gown (too bohemian?).

There wasn't a lot of flash on the red carpet. Few stars wore sequins (Laura Dern, Madonna, Diane Lane and did)...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,' 'Carnage,' & More

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
Sadly, I haven’t caught last week’s pick yet: “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” However I did have the misfortune of watching the David Gordon Green comedy “The Sitter,” which turned out to be a complete dud. If you haven’t already read my review, give it a look to find out why I think Jonah Hill deserves better.

Arriving in theaters this week are the Guy Ritchie sequel “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” the Roman Polanski parental dramedy “Carnage,” the third Chipmunks adventure “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked,” and the Roger Corman themed documentary “Corman’s World: Exploits of a...

Parks and Recreation - 'Citizen Knope' Recap

12/9/2011 2:48pm EST
Citizen Knope
Generally speaking, this season of Parks and Recreation has been strong, but these last couple of episodes have by far been the best. The first half of the season concentrated largely on how splintered the Parks Department had become with the departure of Tom, and Leslie off chasing her dreams of political office while trying to ignore her continued affection for Ben. This led to much of the cast doing their own thing, with the writers throwing them a bone every once in a while in the form of C or D plots that never really amounted to anything. Sometimes these diversions worked—April and An...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'The Trial Of Leslie Knope' Recap

12/2/2011 3:21pm EST
The Trial of Leslie Knope
Of all of the characters that we’ve seen roaming around the muraled corridors of Pawnee city hall, Chris Traeger is the one that we really know the least about. We know all about his health food kick, his obsession with exercise and being a stickler for the rules—we know all of that… but there’s still something naggingly mysterious about the man. Chris dragging Leslie in front of an ethics committee for her relationship with Ben is a chance to illustrate how little we’ve come to know Chris. The trial forces Chris away from being the affable eccentric we’re familiar with, even when he’s self...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'The Treaty' Recap

11/11/2011 10:47am EST
The Treaty
Is it just me or was that episode rather light on laughs?

Sure, the concept of Leslie and Ben’s personal trouble causing a model war to break out at Pawnee’s model UN is funny enough in concept—with some effective barbs at the actual UN—but overall, this felt just like a retread of last week’s otherwise great episode when Leslie and Ben decided that they could remain friends after some awkward tension built up when they were forced to work together. This week, I guess, puts that decision to the test when Leslie invites Ben to help her run the model UN for Pawnee’s little Knopes and Bens (y...

'Parks And Recreation' – 'End of the World' Recap

11/4/2011 3:53pm EDT
Parks and Recreation
Fake apocalypse or not, your priorities change on your last day on earth. Long term plans and practicality both go out the window and eking out one last moment of happiness becomes paramount. And even though the Apocalypse that’s bearing down on Pawnee is of the crackpot loon variety, the implications of it have loaded the members of the Parks department with whimsy.

With her concerns about her political future put on hold for an evening, Leslie’s thoughts go right back to Ben. The pair of them are assigned to stand watch over park as Pawnee's favorite cult, The Reasonablists, pow-wow arou...

Pop star Kelly Clarkson has launched an online bid to land a guest role on hit TV sitcom Parks And Recreation, despite confessing she's "a bad actress."

The Since U Been Gone hit-maker is a big fan of funnywoman Amy Poehler's show and has called on her followers to help bombard program bosses and anyone involved in the comedy to give her a small role alongside her favorite character Ron Swanson, played by Nick Offerman.

Q&A: 'Hung' Star Charlie Saxton

10/16/2011 11:00am EDT
Charlie Saxton
HBO's Hung has just started its third season - and before tonight's new episode (10 PM ET/PT), I caught up with star Charlie Saxton! Read on for Charlie's thoughts on his character Damon, his time in theatre, and the movie role he'd love to have...

We're two episodes into the third season of Hung. What can you say about what we can expect for Damon in season three?

Damon's kind of stepping out of the spotlight, if you will, because he's been getting himself into too many crazy situations. He's re-evaluating himself and figuring out what makes him happy. He and his sister [Darby] deci...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'Pawnee Rangers' Recap

10/14/2011 4:18pm EDT
Pawnee Rangers
This week we mainly follow the conflict between Pawnee’s two competing youth groups: the bleak, all boys survivalist group the Pawnee Rangers, led by Ron Swanson, and its all-girl antithesis the Pawnee Goddesses, created by Leslie Knope, who never met a gender role she couldn’t break. Like when he coached basketball last year, Ron becomes even more rigid when children are in his tutaliage. His single rule for his Rangers? Be a man. Other than that, he gives them a box and a piece of canvas and sets out to teach his boys the virtue of solitude, contemplation and surviving the wild.

To Ron t...

'Parks And Recreation' – 'Born And Raised' Recap

10/7/2011 4:20pm EDT
Gotcha Girls
Now that Tammy 1 has been sent back to Hell or… wherever she’s from (Indianapolis?), "Parks and Rec" is back on the Knope 2012 campaign. Like every single other politician in the world, Leslie has written a book. Rather than write about what a wonderful visionary she is (again, like every single other politican in the world), Leslie has written a comprehensive history of Pawnee… with her picture on the cover for some reason.

To promote the book, Leslie is making the Pawnee media rounds—apparently opting out of her favorite radio show Crazy Ira and The Douche for classier pastures, a goofba...

'Parks And Recreation' - 'I'm Leslie Knope' Recap

9/23/2011 9:23am EDT
I'm Leslie Knope
Hello fellow Pawneeians! I’ll be guiding you through this fourth (fourth!) season of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation”. So let’s get kicking.

The end of last season saw most of the parks department moving towards brighter futures, making their lives about a million times more complicated than they were before. Leslie and Ben decided to keep their forbidden romance from the rest of the office, which makes for a potential scandal when Leslie’s political career suddenly sprouts legs. Tom resigned so he can follow his dreams of being—well Jay-Z, I guess. Even Andy is looking to moving on from his s...

Amy Poehler: 'Just Because You're Wicked Smart Doesn't Mean You're Better Than Me'

5/26/2011 12:42pm EDT
Amy Poehler
Alec Baldwin and Amy Poehler delighted Harvard students this week by addressing them during their graduation ceremonies.

The pair was chosen to help fete the class of 2011 at the famed Massachusetts school, and state native Poehler couldn't help but make jokes about her own education in Boston during her speech on Wednesday, telling the pupils, "Just because you're wicked smart doesn't mean you're better than me. I graduated from BC (Boston College): 'The Harvard of Boston.' Though we all know, Harvard is the Harvard of Harvard."

She also poked fun at famous Harvard graduate Mark Zuckerb...

Several celebrities attended the annual Costume Institute Gala in New York City yesterday, celebrating the exhibition of "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" held at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art on 5th Avenue.

McQueen's successor Sarah Burton was the toast of the event following her triumph at Friday's royal wedding, for which she designed Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's stunning bridal gown.

The stars stepped out in a vast array of looks. Fergie wore a very cleavage-heavy gown, while new mom Miranda Kerr looked like a ballerina.

Jessica Alba was resplendent in a strapless metallic go...

This Week's Fashion Fails: Amy Poehler, Jessica Simpson & Eva Mendes

4/30/2011 3:00pm EDT
Eva Mendes
Bad fashion went bi-coastal this week, and you won't believe how bad things got. Take a look at this week's fashion fails...

Oh no, Amy Poehler. The awkward fit and shiny fabric or her "Time 100" dress are so bad, they almost distract us from that giant flower print. Almost.

Jessica Simpson stepped out for Us Weekly's "Hot in Hollywood" party, but that dress just isn't working. The high neckline and busy pattern do nothing for her curvy body.

And Eva Mendes' dress disaster is more mother-of-the-bride than Hollywood hottie.

Check them out in the video below:

Here are our top moments of the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards:

10. Most Nurturing: "It shouldn't be called the SAG award, it should be called the Uplifting Award," The King's Speech actor Geoffrey Rush says on behalf of the cast, before giving nods to the movie's supporting actors, including his on-screen family and Freya Wilson, who played the young future Queen Elizabeth. His SAG family must be very proud.

She plays: April Ludgate, the Parks and Recreation staffer known as much for her back-and-forth flirtation with dimwit Andy (Chris Pratt) as for her chronically dry wit — something the actress admits to sharing with her alter ego. "Personality-wise, I guess I'm kind of sarcastic," confesses Plaza. "She's a younger, more rebellious, heightened version of me."

2010 Emmys: Who Should Win & Who Will Win

8/28/2010 1:00pm EDT
2010 Emmys
It’s a transitional year for the Emmys, meaning this is one of the more exciting races in recent memories. The flood of new nominees (brought on by a stellar development slate) means that we can no longer rely on the predictable Emmy voting to determine winners. Instead, this is a year where we can see many newcomers emerging and starting a whole new slate of predictable nominees.

Yes, that was a little cynical, but it’s the sad truth of the Emmys – habits are hard to break for the voters. Luckily, this year the virgin nominees have afforded them an extensive choice for brand new habits.
