Barranquilla, Colombia, must have something special in its water because it produces some gorgeous women. "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara and singer Shakira were both born in the city, which is located on the coast of the South American country.

The voluptuous actress has been criticized for her over-the-top portrayal of Gloria Pritchett on the celebrated ABC series. She defended her character, telling Fox News in 2013: "Whoever said that all Latin women are the same? It's impossible to caricature millions of women from 20 countries. There are many kinds of Latinas, just like there are ...

2010 Celebrity Fashion Fail
The definition of fail: "The state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective and may be viewed as the opposite of success." Where there is success there is always failure, and this year there were lots of star-powered failures on the red carpet and out and about in public.

Take a look back at some serious celebrity fashion fails from 2010:

Bonnie Somerville showed up to the Trevor Live Fundraiser at the Hollywood Palladium looking like a hot mess. While revealing underwear is hot right now, it has to be done right.

There's nothing good about this outfit. Madonn...

Fashion Fail: Rosie Perez's Velour Dress & Black Boots

October 21st, 2010 9:04am EDT
Rosie Perez
Rosie Perez and Denise Rich lit the Empire State Building for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research in New York City yesterday.

We give Rosie credit for supporting a good cause, but she gets a thumbs down for her blue velour dress and clunky boots. She reminds us of those housewives who go to the grocery store in velour sweatsuits.

Rosie stars in the upcoming film "Pete Smalls Is Dead" about two old pals who attend an old friends funeral and find there is more to his death than him being dead. She will also appear in the animated film "The Hero of Color City" about a colorful a...

Rosie Perez attended the premiere of "Howl" at the IFC Center in New York City on Thursday. She wore a one-piece denim jumpsuit, which normally doesn't scream sex appeal. But she manages to show her curves. Is she hot or not?

The star recently recovered from a bone marrow procedure and neck surgery after suffering an injury on the set of "Law & Order: SVU" last year, when she was shaken vigorously by a co-star.

She explained, "I got my neck cut... and I got my pelvis bone cracked open and they (surgeons) scraped bone marrow out and put it into into my neck."

Race Matters: Is Hollywood Truly Color Blind When It Comes To On-Screen Romance?

September 29th, 2008 9:49am EDT
Die Another Day
In John Grisham's bestselling novel "The Pelican Brief," investigative journalist Gray Grantham and law student Darby Shaw uncover a political conspiracy and in the process, end up between the sheets. In the 1993 film version, Darby Shaw (played by Julia Roberts) and Grantham merely share a chaste hug in the film's conclusion. What happened between page and screen? One theory: In the novel Grantham is white; in the film, he's portrayed by Academy-Award winning - and black - actor Denzel Washington.

The stigma of interracial relationships in cinema can be traced back to the 1934 Motio...
