Review: 'Liars All' A Good Story Told In A Bad Way

June 21st, 2013 11:15am EDT
Liars All
I remember seeing the premise and trailer for the new film "Liars All" and I must admit it had me hooked.  A truth or dare game that goes from wild to out of control to deadly – what could go wrong.  Apparently a lot as the inclusion of a found footage setting, choppy editing and a tone that prides itself on being uneven turns this flick from +A to a D-.

It’s new Years even in London and a group of friends decide to play a little game.  It’s truth or dare, but not your average stakes.  At first the tasks are easy enough, a few stolen kisses here, a few candid reveals there.  But soon enoug...

ABC Family's newest original production is Lovestruck, a musical that involves a magic elixir, a wedding, and a whole lot of big song and dance numbers. To find out more about the new movie, BFTV recently chatted with co-star Sara Paxton, who plays Mirabella, the bride-to-be who has to cope with finding her well-meaning but meddling mom in a younger body!

What attracted Sara to the flick was "Definitely the musical aspect," Sara said. "I grew up doing musical theater and loving musical movies. When I got the script I was like, 'Yeah, this is amazing. I get to sort of live out a childhood d...

Review: Ti West's 'The Innkeepers' An Alluring Story of Ghosts And Geeks

January 20th, 2012 11:15am EST
Innkeepers
I won't mince words – Ti West has truly become one of our most thoughtful and suspenseful filmmakers. Never one to rush a moment, story or character, West continues to gleefully make films that take their time and his work has become more and more fascinating to watch. His latest outing titled "The Innkeepers" is yet another alluring story befitting of Ti’s unique sensibility complete with ghosts and geeks.

Built in the 1800’s, the Yankee Pedlar Inn has seen better days, in fact it’s about to shut it’s doors for good. The last remaining employees Claire, a bubbly and inquisitive gal, a...

Having made the highly memorable films "The Wicked," "The Roost," and "Trigger Man," Ti found himself becoming even more of a genre household name with the standout flick "The House of the Devil." 'The Beautiful Life' Could Make For A Great Guilty Pleasure

September 17th, 2009 9:02am EDT
The Beautiful Life
Anyone who wished for more of the five minute model segments on "Project Runway" can now look to "The Beautiful Life: TBL." Let me first start by acknowledging that The CW has clearly achieved its goal prompted by their "TV To Talk About" campaign. I will recap the show every week, but I am putting my non-stiletto'd foot down, and refuse to call the show by the stupid acronym "TBL." Even if I'm crunched for space, there will be now TBL-ing here. Even though I just used it. Damnit.

The story begins at New York City fashion week where designer Zac Posen's (appearing as himself) newest coll...
