PETA Names The Sexiest Vegetarians Of 2014 – Find Out Who Won

June 26th, 2014 6:01pm EDT
Jared Leto
With winners such as Olivia Wilde, Woody Harrelson, and Carrie Underwood, winning PETA's sexiest vegetarian is no easy task. This year the animal rights group picked a pair of hot celebrities who stay healthy without meat.

This year Oscar winner Jared Leto and Academy Award nominee Ellen Page topped the list of the group's sexiest vegetarians for 2014.

Leto has been outspoken about his vegetarian lifestyle, once refuting a rumor he was eating cheeseburgers to gain weight for Chapter 27 by saying, "I did not gain weight for this role by casually eating burgers and fries. Besides the fact t...

Ellen Page: 'I Expected So Much More Hate' For Coming Out

April 30th, 2014 5:00pm EDT
Ellen Page
Ellen Page is thrilled she didn't receive much flak for coming out during a speech in February.

The actress announced she was a lesbian at the Time to Thrive conference, saying she was tired of hiding. "I'm here today because I'm gay. And because maybe I can make a difference - to help others have an easier and more hopeful time," she told the audience.

Now it appears Page had a fairly easy time herself. She told Flare magazine, "I expected so much more hate. It was just remarkably positive, which is beautiful, because it’s indicative of the change that’s happening."

Page also revealed s...

Short And Sweet: Hollywood's 15 Shortest Actresses
We recently profiled several short actors in Hollywood, so naturally we also wanted to honor the short actresses with notable careers in showbusiness. Interestingly enough, several of these short gals are brilliant singers in addition to their career on-screen.

Meredith Eaton, 4’3". Meredith had a breakout role as attorney Bethany Horowitz on Boston Legal, a skilled lawyer usually underestimated due to her size.

Linda Hunt, 4’9". Hunt won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1982 for The Year of Living Dangerously. She's well-known as a series regular on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Nine Big Stars Who Voiced Video Game Characters

April 10th, 2014 1:00pm EDT
9 Hollywood Stars You Didn't Know Were In Your Favorite Video Ga
As video game sales continue to rival or even surpass Hollywood box office receipts, plenty of famous actors and actresses are crossing over to lend their talents to another industry. Funny thing is though, you might not even realize it. Plenty of game companies have recruited Hollywood stars to serve as voice actors for their top titles. Sometimes the star's in-game character is rendered after their real world appearance, but more often than not, the game will feature a character that looks nothing like the voice actor, leaving the most casual fans in the dark about who was behind the mic....

April 3rd, 2014 3:33pm EDT
Conan O'Brien
Maybe Ellen Page isn't the best person to teach Conan O'Brien how to use a giant hamster ball.

In a comedic look at how rehearsals for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards are going, Conan is having some difficulty mastering the device famously used by Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne. Ellen Page offers to help, but having two people in the same giant hamster ball doesn't help.

"This is why I stay away from balls," Page muses with a double entendre.

The "2014 MTV Movie Awards" will air live on Sunday, April 13 at 9 PM on MTV.

E! Online Deletes Story After Ellen Page Mentions It In Coming-O
E! Online was left red-faced when Ellen Page referred to one of their stories in her coming-out speech Friday.

E! Online ran a story in January bashing Page for dressing up like a “homeless, massive man” when she was spotted on her way to the gym. The article also referred to her wearing “street-sleeper” and “Salvation Army style” clothing.

Page said in her speech at the Human Rights Campaign Time to Thrive event on Friday, “… sometimes it’s the little insignificant stuff that can tear you down. Now I try not to read gossip as a rule, but the other day a website ran an article with a pict...

'Twilight' Stars Dominate The 2011 MTV Movie Awards (See List of Winners)

June 6th, 2011 8:17am EDT
MTV Movie Awards
The vampires from Twilight overpowered the magical Harry Potter kids at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, taking home five golden popcorn prizes to their film franchise rival cast's one.

It was a shocking night for the Twilighters in more ways than one - Robert Pattinson stunned the audience and TV viewers on the east coast of the U.S. when he uttered the 'F' word while paying tribute to his Water For Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon, the MTV Generation Award recipient.

Pattinson scored the Best Male Performance award and shared the Best Fight and Best Kiss honors ...

Top Ten Movie 'Bad Kids' - Part One

April 6th, 2011 10:00am EDT
hanna picture
In light of the five-star film "Hanna" from Focus Features hitting theaters April 8, felt that movie kids that kick ass just weren’t getting their due. So we decided to make a list of some seriously bad babes (not in Toyland anymore!) that bother way beyond their youthful years. Yes, "Hanna" is herself a teen, but for those minors with moxie our list is going to encompass all of you – youngsters of all ages who made their movie impression with everything from scares to sass. So to the tots that take life, adolescence with attitude and just plain nasty brats in need of a sp...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Source Code,' 'Insidious' & More

March 28th, 2011 9:25am EDT
Source Code
Given the strength of director Zack Snyder’s previous films “300” and “Watchmen,” his first original work “Sucker Punch” is a surprising disappointment. From a visual standpoint the movie is rock solid, with excellent art direction and an intense soundtrack to buttress it.

However Snyder claims that one of the story’s major goals is to comment on the objectification of women, which frankly it fails at in major ways. If you have not done so already, check out further thoughts in my review of “Sucker Punch.”

Arriving in theaters this week are the Jake Gyllenhaal thriller “Source Code,” ...

Celebrity Fashion Fails Of 2010

December 22nd, 2010 10:00am EST
2010 Celebrity Fashion Fail
The definition of fail: "The state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective and may be viewed as the opposite of success." Where there is success there is always failure, and this year there were lots of star-powered failures on the red carpet and out and about in public.

Take a look back at some serious celebrity fashion fails from 2010:

Bonnie Somerville showed up to the Trevor Live Fundraiser at the Hollywood Palladium looking like a hot mess. While revealing underwear is hot right now, it has to be done right.

There's nothing good about this outfit. Madonn...

High profile actresses rumored to be up for the role included Natalie Portman, Emma Watson, Ellen Page, and Carey Mulligan. Emma Watson & 'Dragon Tattoo' Rumor Is 'Absolutely False'

August 11th, 2010 8:23am EDT
Emma Watson
A representative for Emma Watson has moved swiftly to deny reports the actress is auditioning for the lead role in an upcoming big screen adaptation of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo."

The Brit sparked speculation she was in the running for the role of edgy computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in the upcoming Hollywood movie after debuting a short pixie hairstyle earlier this month.

Watson, who shot to fame in the "Harry Potter" movie franchise, was said to be leading the race for the role, fighting off competition from actresses including Ellen Page and Carey Mulligan.

But a spokesperson ...

The Harry Potter star stunned fans when she debuted a short pixie crop earlier this month, but her new hairdo is believed to be more than just a change of style. Watson is screen-testing for a role in the big budget remake of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, according to Britain's The Sun.

A Writer's Theory On 'Inception' (Part 2 of 2)

August 6th, 2010 3:00pm EDT
Leonardo DiCaprio and the World
Note: This is continued from my previous post and makes no sense if you have not read that post. Oh, and MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!!! Do not continue if you have not seen Inception!

Now then, where was I? Oh, right, I was trying to convince you all that (a) I'm not a complete lunatic and (b) Inception is nothing but a dream.

My third point then, is that little conveniences abound throughout the film. The team for a blatantly illegal enterprise is located quite easily (all while time is compressed dream-style), and even Ariadne (Ellen Page) simply says "Yes" despite the fact that we have zero ...

'Inception' Solved? (Part 1 of 2)

OK, Inception’s been number one three weeks in a row, we’ve all seen it and re-seen it and obsessed over it, so it’s now time to openly and bluntly discuss the film, to hell with the few people who have yet to watch Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending thriller.

That being said, MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!!!! Do not read on if you have not yet seen Inception, or this brilliant film might not only be ruined for you, but my theory as to the film’s meaning could very possible plant itself in your head, influencing your viewing of the film.

Still with me?

OK, here’s my theory: none of it’s real. No...

Ellen Page Is Tiny In A Green Dress At The 'Inception' Premiere

July 15th, 2010 4:55pm EDT
Ellen Page
The diminutive Ellen Page showed up to the Los Angeles "Inception" premiere in a nondescript green dress. Seems like everywhere she shows up lately she either looks awkward or is hunching over. What do you think of her look?

We recently featured one of Ellen's movies in our "Overlooked Films" column.

"Hard Candy" exploded onto the indie film scene in 2005, the catalyst being a disturbing screenplay by Brian Nelson and a startlingly strong performance by Ellen. The film follows a young girl named Hayley (Page) who meets an older man on the internet and decides to meet him in person. As th...

Review: 'Inception' Is Powerfully Imaginative

July 14th, 2010 9:37am EDT
For those who feel like box office fare in 2010 has been weak, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” is the cure for what ails you. Unlike the tired reboots and sequels released earlier this year, “Inception” is powerfully imaginative. This sci-fi thriller is loaded with excitement and intrigue so explosive that it will leave you reeling even after you exit the theater.

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a thief that specializes in looting the mind’s most precious commodity: its ideas. He accomplishes this feat by penetrating a person’s dreams with his highly skilled gang of con artists. Inside...
