Olin's performance as Cordelia in a Bergman-directed "King Lear" at Stockholm's Royal Dramatic Theater in 1985 brought her to the attention of Bertil Ohlsson, executive producer of Philip Kaufman's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" (1988), adapted from Milan Kundera's best-selling novel of love and eroticism set against the 1968 Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia.
