'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Finale Recap: Cristina Says Farewell In 'Fear (Of The Unknown)'

May 16th, 2014 10:45am EDT
Grey's Anatomy
The mall may have exploded, but there are three bombshells Rhimes ignited that left more of a lasting impression in the season 10 finale. Let’s see where do I begin? Okay, well Meredith may have lost her ‘person,’ but she’s gained a sister. Yes, another one. Alex and Bailey vie for a spot on the hospital board, and Cristina says farewell to Grey Sloan Memorial and takes someone with her. In the parting words of Cristina, let’s do it.

“Fear (of the Unknown)” episode opens with Cristina yelling at the TV weatherman’s (isn’t that everyone’s morning ritual?) forecast of perfect Seattle weather...

Sandra Oh plans to leave ABC’s hit medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy, after its 10th season.

Oh told The Hollywood Reporter, “Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go. It’s such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well.”

Grey’s Anatomy boss and creator Shonda Rhimes confirmed to THR this upcoming year will be “bittersweet” but Cristina Yang will get a proper exit.

With Oh’s exit now official, how would you like to see Dr. Yang leave the series? Sound off below!

TV Report Card: Grading 10 Season Finales

May 25th, 2012 12:07pm EDT
Revenge Cast
Season finales are essentially the Hollywood version of final exams. They have to shock and awe and entice viewers into returning after four arduous months of dead air. From births and deaths to break-ups and OMG-worthy shockers, I’m grading 10 season finales. The SPOILER ALERT is implied.

Reckoning, Revenge’s thrilling season ender saw Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) not only confront her father’s killer in a satisfying and strangely sweet final fight, but surrender to her feelings for ruggedly handsome bartender, Jack. It wouldn’t be “Revenge” without infuriating twists and double-c...

The star, who's spent the last eight seasons is also passionate about auto racing, was initially unsure about returning to the show.

"The question is will I do a full season, a half season or come back at all?" he told TV guide in December. "There are a lot of things I'd like to do: racing, films... so if...

“We're trained to be vigilant, to chase down the problem, to ask all the right questions, to find the root cause until we know exactly what it is and we confront it. It takes an extreme amount of caution or we can't overstep ourselves. We can create problems that don't exist,” introduces Meredith.

Thursday’s episode of Grey’s was definitely one of the best of the season. Derek asks Meredith to come back to neuro for a day, Christina finds out if Owen is cheating, Avery’s mom is back for another visit and so much more! Here are the highlights:

Wishes Of A Television-aholic: 'Grey's Anatomy'

cast of grey's anatomy
When “Grey’s Anatomy” made its triumphant mid-season premiere in 2005, it was the much-needed cure for my nasty case of Bad-Television-itis, and a lusty, dramatic, hilarious parallel to my real life. Back then, this television-aholic was just a college student who worked part-time at a hospital and fantasized about some of the more attractive doctors who offered me, a lowly clerk in medical records, more than a perfunctory smile. Of course, the men on “Grey’s Anatomy” are hotter than all of the doctors in said hospital combined and the drama is juicier than a Georgia peach.

My love affair...

Episode 12 of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 7 is one episode that has all the fans talking. The themes of baby-making and inappropriate relationships continued, but with a twist—and a life changing declaration of “I’m pregnant” coming from a somewhat unexpected surgeon at Seattle Grace.

“Grey’s Anatomy” episode 12 started with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) seated together in the bedroom looking at a pregnancy test. It read “not pregnant,” and Derek reassured Meredith that “next time” the results would be different. In typical Meredith fashion, she expressed her doubt that t...

TV Honorees That Don't Deserve Recognition At The Emmy Awards

Emmy Awards
Nominations for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced Thursday, July 16. The Emmy Awards are a bit like the Gold Glove Award in baseball: There's no apparent reason behind the process of selecting recipients, and once you make the short list you're virtually guaranteed a spot for life.

Many blame the Television Academy's awkward way of determining television's best for the pallid variance between what's actually good and what the nomination list purports. Academy members (terribly busy producers, writers, directors and actors) are sent scant screeners by agents representin...

Ah, the Emmys, the most entertaining awards show and often the most frustrating. Why is it so frustrating? Because the voters get it wrong. They get the winners wrong more often than casual sports bettors. In fact, they get it so wrong that predicting the winners is often a fool's errand since it's impossible to determine what will strike the Academy's fancy as the reasons for their choices are as mystifying as the results.

Luckily, Starpulse.com has one such fool. So it's time for a round of everybody's favorite game: Who Will Win and Who Should Win?
