April 30th, 2014 7:00pm EDT
Gwendoline Christie
We recently profiled the tallest actors in show business, so naturally we wanted to also honor the women who stand out - for both their height and acting ability.

Gwendoline Christie, 6'3". Christie plays the towering Brienne in Game of Thrones and told Stylist, "As someone who has always felt at times pretty genderless because of my size, it interests me to challenge ideas of prejudice and femininity and what it is to be a woman."

Brigitte Nielsen, 6'1". At the height of her fame in the 80s, the danish actress was unfairly branded an "amazon" by several newspapers when she was marrie...

Amber Heard
Model/actress Amber Heard has signed up to replace Rose McGowan in a remake of Brigitte Nielsen's 1985 action film "Red Sonja."

The film has been in development for the past five years with directors like Robert Rodriguez and Brett Ratner attached to the project.

Shortly after Rodriguez was linked to the film, a poster of his girlfriend McGowan as "Red Sonja" hit the Internet, but she has since quit the project, as has the "Planet Terror" moviemaker.

Now, "Con Air" and "The Mechanic" director Simon West is in charge of the film and Heard will lead the cast, according to CinemaBlend.com.

'Flavor of Love' Episode 8: Thing 1 & 2 Are Split Up (Sort Of), Prancer Is Eliminated

April 1st, 2008 9:00am EDT
Flavor of Love
On this episode of Flavor of Love, we are given a chance to learn about the new girls. They are given nicknames: Black, Prototype, Luscious D, and Tree. Tree is, quite obviously, the tallest girl in the house. Some of the older girls think she may be a man. Jury's still out.

Flav began the episode by saying that if the girls know where they stand with him than they shouldn't be scared about the new girls. This was an interesting beginning because it ended up being extremely relevant at the end of the episode when he sent one of the girls home. This week's challenge was the "Flavor Flav...

'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew': One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other

March 3rd, 2008 10:49am EST

Without The Office or 30 Rock to get me through these cold Thursday nights, I’ve had to turn to VHI to fill my TV watching needs (because God forbid I actually, you know, pick up a book or something). Thankfully they have put the kibosh on "I Love the 80's" reruns. I like that show just as much as the next person, but how many times can I see Lea Thompson wax nostalgic about Hyper Color t-shirts? (Answer: 11).

Now, instead of filling the air waves with the comedic stylings of Rick Springfield, comically riffing on Ms. Pac Man, we get celebrities in rehab! Except they aren’t exactly ce...

Our Favorite Reality TV Shows: 'LA Ink,' 'Celebrity Rehab' & 'Jon & Kate Plus 8'

February 14th, 2008 2:00pm EST
LA Ink
Every since the strike, there have been so many reality shows popping up all over the place. I haven't been the biggest fan of the reality TV scene. Most of the reality is scripted or instigated by producers. Or, as seen lately, a desperate attempt to film time slots. Luckily, I have found three saviors of the reality TV genre that I tune in to. A doctor, a tattoo artist and a mom and dad of eight kids have made reality TV enjoyable to watch again.

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew

From "Loveline" to the Pasadena Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Drew Pinsky has found his way into giving some c...

CMT's 'Gone Country' Is Surprisingly Entertaining

February 11th, 2008 9:35am EST
Dee Snider
"Gone Country," a show in which mostly washed-up singers are resurrected as country stars, is the first show, to my knowledge, on CMT that I've watched in its entirety. I wouldn't call myself a country fan by any means, and at first glance this didn't seem like an appealing show at all. That was until I saw the lineup of goof balls that they had enlisted:

Dee Snider: He's the cross-dressing front man of Twisted Sister whose last major hit was over 20 years ago. I "met" him once in Chicago. He was going through a revolving door with me. I threw some metal horns at him with my hand...
