Brooke Jaye Mueller was born on August 19, 1977, in Palm Beach, Florida, and was raised in New York. She became a household name in 2008, when she married actor Charlie Sheen and gave birth to twin sons.
Mueller and Sheen's marriage lasted less than three years, and the couple went through several rough spots, including one on Christmas day in 2009 when Charlie was arrested for attacking Brooke in their rented Colorado house. that led to him going to rehab for 30 days. Sheen filed for divorce less than a year later.
Shortly before their divorce was finalized, Mueller had a restraining order put on Sheen and she feared for her childrens' well-being. Social services took custody of the children, as Sheen was in the midst of a public meltdown after leaving his hit show Two And A Half Men.
Mueller battled her own demons, though, going through two stints in rehab for drug and alcohol addictions.
