Mary Tyler Moore joined forces with crime-fighting cat Fred in New York City on Saturday in a bid to end animal euthanasia. The star posed for photos with Fred, a former stray who became famous in February for going undercover to help cops nab an allegedly bogus veterinarian in Brooklyn.

The Sopranos, 24, My Name Is Earl and The Office are leading the way at the Television Critics Awards, after scooping the most nominations for the 22nd annual awards ceremony. All four shows landed three nods, including one acting nomination each for its stars James Gandolfini, Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Lee and Steve Carell. Elsewhere there are nods for Grey's Anatomy, Lost, House, Scrubs and Everybody Hates Chris.

Walk the Line took top honors at the 10th annual Prism Awards on Thursday. The awards were presented by the Entertainment Industries Council in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse/National Institutes of Health for works the groups believe do the best job of accurately portraying drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse.

The series inherited the actual sound stage from the classic TV comedy and Moore appears as a local daytime TV host who hires Jackie Burkhart (Mila Kunis) as her new assistant.

With E! Entertainment Television's "#1 Single" debuting in January, The Very Best Of Lisa Loeb (Geffen/UMe) will be released January 24, 2006.
