Helen Mirren and singer Kylie Minogue added a touch of glamour to the British Comedy Awards on Friday by turning out to honour the cream of the crop.

The annual event in London celebrates the UK's biggest comedy talents on stage and TV, and was presented by Jonathan Ross.

Pop superstar Minogue gave the actors of hit show The Inbetweeners the trophy for Outstanding Achievement after the series' big screen adaptation proved to be a major success at the box office earlier this year.

The veteran actress was the toast of the Hollywood Reporter's annual Power 100 Women in Entertainment event in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday as she received the coveted Sherry Lansing Leadership Award for her film work and philanthropy.
