Celebrities That Turn 30 In 2015

Celebrities That Turn 30 In 2015
30 years seems like a long time ago… because it was. In 1985 our world was waist deep in the glories of the 80s. We had hair bands, Care Bears, Swatches, the birth of Super Mario Brothers – what more could you ask for?

Also that year Ronald Reagan was sworn in his second term as President of the United States, the Coca-Cola Company decided we needed a new Coke (which sucked) and Windows 1.0 was released.

1985 marked the big Live Aid world concerts and famous artists got together to sing “We are the World.” Top songs on the airwaves that year included: Like a Virgin- Madonna, Don't You (Fo...

'How I Met Your Mother' Review: Cristin Milioti’s Character Begins To Form In 'Platonish'

11/12/2013 9:37am EST
How I Met Your Mother
Cristin Milioti’s mother character’s personality is beginning to form now that the show’s near its final months. Fans and critics wanted to see why she’s the right girl for Ted Mosby. The easiest way to show why she’s right for him is to show how she’s helped his friends before they met at Farhampton station. The future Mrs. Ted Mosby shared scenes with Lily and Barney thus far. In both scenes she’s been incredibly empathetic and helpful, seeing into their souls much more than they see into their own. She helped Lily settle down on the train, and she helped Barney re-focus and re-direct his...

'How I Met Your Mother' Review: Cristin Milioti Returns In 'The Lighthouse'

11/5/2013 9:08am EST
Sweeps month kicked off at CBS with How I Met Your Mother’s eighth episode of their final season.  “The Lighthouse” picked up Saturday morning of the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding.  At brunch, there is still some hostility between Robin and Barney’s mother Loretta.  It is important to Barney that they bury the hatchet, but he doesn’t know how to get them to make up.  They continue to fight through breakfast, resulting in a ridiculous fight about who makes better scrambled eggs.

Lily was still dealing with the bomb that Marshall had dropped on her.  Marshall had accepted a judgeship...

Premiere Recap: 'How I Met Your Mother' Returns For Final Season

How I Met Your Mother Season 9 Premiere
How I Met Your Mother premiered its final season last night.  I was saying the same thing a year ago, but then CBS negotiated for a ninth and final season to be made.  Season 9 will be the story of the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding, which of course will culminate in Ted finally meeting the mother.  Ted is still a couple days away from meeting her, but we got to see her for the first time in the final scene of season eight.  She is the bass player in the band for the wedding, and is played by Cristin Milioti.

Season nine picks up at 11am on Friday morning, 55 hours before the weddi...

'How I Met Your Mother' Premiere: Season 9 Feels Fresh But Has Its Challenges

9/24/2013 8:31am EDT
Future Ted and 'The Mother'
Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have annoyed me for the last four years as show runners and head writers of How I Met Your Mother. A once clever series devolved into a convoluted mess with each renewal and 24 episode cycle. The characters, once lovable, became increasingly loathsome. The structure of the series, a mix of flash-backs and flash-forwards woven in with the present, allowed for really creative storytelling in the early seasons, but the structure became a crutch for the series. The storytelling got lazier, and the characters were broad caricatures of what they once were. I've enjoye...

Top 5 Things You Need to Know Going Into Season 9 Of 'How I Met Your Mother'

9/22/2013 3:00pm EDT
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is returning this Monday for its ninth and final season.  I'm pretty sure it's for real this time.  You may remember that season eight was reportedly going to be the final season, but since ratings were at all time highs, CBS went into negotiations with show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas to do another season.  All of the actors' contracts were up at the end of season 8, and it appeared that Jason Segel, who said he wanted to focus on his movie career, was the biggest roadblock.  As soon as Segel signed on, everything else fell into place.  Whether you've missed...

Cristin Milioti as The Mother
If you have no idea what "How I Met Your Mother" is, than I don't blame you. Honestly, I didn't even know up until a couple of years ago. But, even though you do not know, you might want to give the show a try. And to the fans, a simple kuddos to you for keeping up.

Why am I trying to get you addicted to HIMYM? Well, because the show is about to end. What perfect time to get hooked, right? Also, the entire show was based on one secret. No show has kept a secret lasting for eight seasons. That secret was revealed in the last season closer. What was the big revelation? Newcomer Cristin Milio...

'How I Met Your Mother' Finale Reveals Cristin Milioti As 'The Mother'

HIMYM wrapped up their eighth season Monday night.  A year ago we thought this would be the series finale, and we would finally meet the mother of Ted’s future children.  A few months ago it was revealed that HIMYM would be coming back for a ninth and final season.  The moment of Ted meeting his soulmate would have to wait, but the season finale was chock full of big moments that did not disappoint.

The episode began with Marshall and Lily packing for Italy.  Lily picks up the phone and it is Judy, Marshall’s mom.  It turns out that Marshall had still not told his mother about the move, an...

Tony Awards Fashion: A Radiant Sheryl Crow, Colorful Amanda Seyfried & More

6/11/2012 8:42am EDT
Sheryl Crow
The Tony Awards may not be as star studded as the Academy Awards, but the event is becoming more and more popular among Hollywood elite. There is increasing crossover between Broadway and big screen actors, and several stars made an appearance at the 66th annual awards in New York City last night.

Sheryl Crow looked beautiful in a navy blue grown. The singer was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumor last fall, and she recently opened up to the public about her health scare.

Also on the red carpet was Amanda Seyfried, who wore a purple and gold dress with a red belt and matching red c...
