Alyssa MilanoAlyssa Release Date 1989 Label Import Rating: ![]() A fun and fully frothy follow-up to Look in My Heart, Milano's sophomore effort picks up where its predecessor left off. There isn't a whole lot to expand upon, mind you. But there is a decided assurance to the tunes &"I Just Wanna Be Loved" and &"I Had a Dream" that songs on the first album lacked. Additionally, it appears that the singer took a few voice lessons, and her vocals are better produced. Once again, there's an unnecessary medley fusing a '60s classic with a new "half-song" (&"Be My Baby/Tell Me That You Love Me") while, for a first, Milano is assigned to lyrical duties on the world peace vehicle &"We Need the Children" -- with a somewhat tepid outcome. She also tries her hand at rapping on &"Step By Step," again with limited results. But the sweeping synths and unshakeable kinetic energy of the standout, &"Happiness," as well as the aforementioned numbers make Alyssa a guilty pleasure listeners are likely to indulge in repeatedly.
