Actress Ashley Fink has been dropped from the cast of Glee.

The plus-size star played Lauren Zizes on the hit TV musical series, but fans were left wondering about her future when her character quit the high school glee club New Directions at the start of the third season last year.

Now, Fink has confirmed she won't be returning to McKinley High. She tells TheInsider.com, "It is what it is. Lauren's somewhere in that school, she's just not on camera or being talked about. She's involved in activities that aren't televised."

Funnywoman Chelsea Handler has become the latest star to throw her weight behind a campaign to ban horse and carriage rides from New York City's Central Park.

The talk show host has teamed up with animal-advocacy group NYClass and written a letter to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, urging him to replace the horses with electric cars modeled on vintage classics. Handler also reveals she has made a $15,000 donation to the cause.

Earlier this month it was announce that Glee star Lea Michele was named the new spokeswoman for the Candie's Spring 2012 campaign, following in the footsteps of past spokeswomen such as Britney Spears, Fergie and Vanessa Hudgens.

"Candie's is such an iconic brand and I am so happy to be working with them," she says.

The star is to follow in the footsteps of Gywneth Paltrow, John Stamos, Neil Patrick Harris and Olivia Newton-John, who have all previously appeared in episodes of the high school comedy series.
