Gates McFadden (aka Cheryl McFadden) primarily works in television and is best known for playing Dr. Beverly Crusher on the TV series Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation (1987-1994), but she has also done some film work, including the Star Trek film series. McFadden has also worked as a choreographer on The_Dark_Crystal (1982), Dreamchild (1985), and Labyrinth (1986). McFadden made her film debut in The_Muppets_Take_Manhattan (1984). In the thriller The Hunt for Red October (1990), she played Caroline Ryan, the wife of Jack Ryan (Alec_Baldwin) (in the sequel, McFadden was replaced by Ann_Archer).
